Brian getting it Right is forgiven for his turd judgements in 2021 and 2022 drafts
He's finally started going back to it tbh. Been missing from his arsenal since early in the season. He’s playable if he’s hitting that mid range jumper off the pick![]()
i've been a pretty loud critic of some of Castle's shortcomings this year, but if the talk about a 21 year old second player is "humph, hes not quite good enough to be the #2 on a contender right now" then i'd say he's in a pretty damn good place.
i do think he should scale his game down a bit, but man, just think if he continues to round out the rough edges of his game, what he will look like in 2-3 years
why the FUCK did the rockets think it was a good idea to pick Sheppard over castle lmao. Good for us I guess

I can’t get over how narrow his shoulders are. looks so weak out there. Contrast that to kon who’s thick and solid (pause)Sheppard's stats in college was historical (around 55% from 3s IIRC) and he was like 2nd coming of Curry with 40 inch vertical![]()
genetics.. the rockets are genetically made to follow trends rather than set them. They had to believe reed was the next curry.why the FUCK did the rockets think it was a good idea to pick Sheppard over castle lmao. Good for us I guess
He short armed his standing reach so that vertical would look better, allegedly.Sheppard's stats in college was historical (around 55% from 3s IIRC) and he was like 2nd coming of Curry with 40 inch vertical![]()

For the Rockets, it boils down to them not coming away with at least one legit All-NBA player (let alone a superstar) despite picking 2,3,4,3 in four consecutive drafts. Question now is how and when will they pivot from this core? It probably depends on how ugly their next playoffs exit is gonna be. I'm pretty sure Ime is already pushing for a Giannis trade..Castle made no sene on the Rockets with the players they had.
They should've traded away that pick for a high end player, luckily for us, they didn't.
My oh my, they’ve had good lottery luck as wellFor the Rockets, it boils down to them not coming away with at least one legit All-NBA player (let alone a superstar) despite picking 2,3,4,3 in four consecutive drafts. People are actually dumb enough to argue with the man who developed SGA in a secret lab?
We need to get him in here, he's been arguing with people on twitter.![]()
id' rather he'd train when and how to set a pick and roll tbhSpurs need to sponsor Harper to train with Guard Whisperer as well tbh...
Homework for Castle in the off-season:
- Shooting: Continue work on 3s, FTs, short pull-up. Basically shooting.
- TOV: watch film and take less risky passes
All-Star, all defensive 1st team and all nba 3rd team next year
people tend to overreact. While I was not on the bandwagon for trading him, I had no problem saying that he had a pretty long rough patch (over a month). This is the same now, he had a monster game and I'm not going to suddenly think that because of that he turned the corner and is going to be a guaranteed all-star. I'm glad he had that game but we'll see if he can carry it over the rest of the season.40 pts – 12 rebs – 12 ast.
And somehow… this still won’t stop the comments. The same people will keep dumping on Castle all the way into what could probably going to be a Hall of Fame career if we're lucky, just like they did with Enrique. Maybe that’s just how certain commenters, the so‑called local media, and the pre‑diabetic hot‑take wannabe podcasters show “love.”
Gotta love how one pair of those so‑called local content hags tried to qualify Stephon’s ROY case because of a “historicly weak draft class” They’re practically praying he becomes the next Michael Carter‑Williams or Tyreke Evans — washes out in his sophomore season so their fantasy of Dylan Harper replacing him can come true. All just to validate their alleged talent‑evaluation prowess.
Here’s a bit of sports trivia:
SGA had his first 40‑point game in the first post–Point God season, against the Spurs, at age 22 on February 24, 2021. After that game, most savvy, credentialed NBA evaluators saw the trajectory. Apples and oranges in some ways — Stephon is never going to take as many shots as SGA did that year — but it would be interesting to see what his present and future numbers would look like if he were on a team as bad as that 2020–21 Thunder squad.
But hey… some people are committed to missing the point.
Carry on Commentors.
