Game Thread Spurs vs Pacers (Fri 10/17/25) [7:00PM CDT]

Kornet's gotta hit vassell in the corner on that short roll. instead he hesitated and kicked it out to castle at the top of the arc

love how sean and toby make it sound as if only the Pacers are trying hard ...

Kornet's career high in MPG was 18.6 last season. I sure hope he passes that this yr, I wanna see 10mpg of French Vanilla

Kornet's lob attempts are too telegraphed, it's obvious he's going to throw the lob before he even catches the ball.

Definitely an uglier quarter all around... but still 27 points on the board. We can score, at least.

Harper finally being a little more aggressive at the end of the 2Q

i agree that lineup of Castle/ Harper/ Vassell/ Champ/ Wemby was starting to look nice.

Hopefully Dylan can remove that Luka sulking type body language after bad plays. Been doing it too much this game.

Guys like Wemby, Castle just move on to the next play straight away even when they fuck up.

Glad somebody else noticed. Early on he literally put himself out of the play after a miss and was sulking in the corner.

Issues on defense. Indiana really gets to the right shot, which is tough, but too much missing pick-ups coming down the court and awareness in general.

My excitement do this game feelin like regular season

What would you have done? Fucked Fox over this summer and lost all the credibility around the league?

We needed three guards and we got them. One will be overqualified for his role, but that's a good problem to have.
I know I'm not accusing anyone of making a mistake, just saying the timing sucks.

Castle is ready to take over as a starter and what's going to be his role when Fox comes back, assuming Harper is the back-up?

I know it's positionless but there's a limit, I don't like him at the 3

We can already anticipate the noises and rumors throughout the season and it'd make sense.

Lonnie Walker IV would get the depression face after some miscues as well

I think I will judge Mitch (in part of course) in his ability to coach Wemby, on a human level, make him accept not doing all the stuff he ambitions to do and focus on more simple and LETHAL stuff where his size makes the biggest differences.
Which isn't by bringing the ball up or being the P&R ball handler all the freaking time lol

It looks like we're still in the "let's make Vic happy" phase and he still thinks about too many options when he gets the ball rather than a few go-to moves.

It's still early I know...

Castle is going to be the 3, but not because of Harper. It's going to be Devin who's to blame for it.
For all I care two youngsters need to prove they can be consistent contributors on nightly basis.
We need a legit perimeter scorer and Fox is just that.

Castle's shot looks better, he made just one, but these aren't bricks he was throwing in the general direction of the basket last season.
