Game Thread Spurs vs Jazz (Fri 10/10/25) [7:00PM CDT]

I think it will be very strange if castle doesn’t play on a mildly banged knee

Really hope at least one of Castle or Harper plays so we can get some semblance of how the offense will run

Oh shit is this the first game on NBC? Hope we hear that iconic intro song

I wouldn't be concerned about minutes restriction, it's probably going to be at 20 minutes and it's not like other starters will play more than 25 or so.
What I would be concerned about is if Jeremy misses another game.
His jumpshot is the thing I want to know about the most. And it's going to be obvious right away. Either he takes open shots or he doesn't.

minute restriction doesnt matter much since i dont think he's going to be some 30 minute player out the gate anyway, but great to see he's been cleared with time to spare

i wonder if Castle will play, and how much they will stagger them vs see how they work together

also, what is going on with mclaughlin?

Yea no concern on the minutes restriction, wouldn't want to see projected main guys playing more than 18-20 minutes anyway for preseason. Just glad he is going to get some run 12 days before opening night and have a chance to shake off some rust. Hope Castle is a go as well because he really needs some reps.

Damn, I’m not going to be able to catch tonight’s game. Will be looking forward to catching some Harper highlights tomorrow AM! Glad to see he’s ready.

Castle and Sochan a scratch tonight according to Jacob Tobey's twitter as well.

Nice having Harper in action. Also glad that Wemby is not resting. GSG

Didn't we see his jumpshot was still broken on Team Poland a month ago?

He didn't play any official games, I don't trust any of those workout videos.
I'll give him benefit of the doubt even though I think it's more likely Spurs win it all this season than for Jeremy to shoot on let's say Keldon's level, which is still bad.

Wow I’m so excited about a preseason game!
You know your team is rebuilding still when a preseason game gets excitement lol

In the Duncan years even some regular season games seemed “meh” because of the almost automatic W. Let alone a preaseason game during that time.

Can't wait to see Harper and Wemby together. Might as well start Dylan with De'Aaron and Steph out too.
i dont see why not, seeing as how the only other PG on the active roster is going to be Flagler. i really wonder whats going on with mclaughlin

No clips came out of the one game but it was telling that Mozgov did that drive by hit on him, calling out his overall game and his offense in particular to some polish outlet.

You also see rumblings about how the team thought his injury unlocked their offense and it’s part of why they over achieved.

This paints a terrific picture of an “untouchable” player.

at least castle has been apart of training camp up until preseason games. cant see him out too much longer. it would be bice to see him and harper in the backcourt together

Thats the fucking jazz preseason or not i want to see a win

I don't understand how we went from "Harper out for the whole preseason" to "Harper is only missing 2 preseason games?" I mean, I'm not complaining, but seems really fucking weird.
