not true at all. Portis contract expires in 2027. You're just saying that because you'd like to renegotiate everybody's contract while they still signed for cheap.Trading for Bobby Portis likely means that Spurs won't be able to keep both Champagnie and KJ after 2027. Given their ages and what Champagie and KJ are showing this season, I rather stick with them.
As much as he said he hates the Lakers, that would be funny lol
TM3 would get no more shots than Vassell does. Any additional would have to come from Fox,Wemby,Castle, or Harper. He would just be the new guy to say “why are we paying this dude so much when he only scores 14 points?”.I understand the contract of Vassell will be a problem at some point. If we discuss trading for a quality (starting) role player, he will get (or demand) money in the region of the Vassell contract. While Vassell might be seen as a quality role player by some, I wouldn't rank him there. So, if Spurs want to improve his spot, he will be the contract to move and therefore get a player with a similar contract (or less expensive), who ist either better, or a better fit.
So, I would be all in for a TM3 trade, but we might ask what other player could be had for that 25-30M per salary. Would Wiggins sign an extension for that money, assuming he will opt out this summer. Like, say, 3 years /80 M? Would the Heat trade him for Vassell, if they think they will lose him after this season?
I feel like our biggest need is a legit PF or a PF/C, Aldama being the prime target.TM3 would get no more shots than Vassell does. Any additional would have to come from Fox,Wemby,Castle, or Harper. I want a big who can shoot, rebound, and is atI feel like our biggest need is a legit PF or a PF/C, Aldama being the prime target.
Castle guardin Sengun for a stretch was nice, but in reality our lack of size at PF will be the biggest issue in most matchups.
Barnes would get murdered by Gordon and Randle, even Lebron.
And he's also a nice connector, knows how to play.
If only there was another Diaw, would be just perfect for this team.
Julius scoring averages is below his season average when he faces the Spurs with Barnes as the starting PF. This sounds really made up now, when you actually look at the games played. The before-season narratives linger because that’s what your beliefs hold, when it’s (the idea that the Spurs need a taller PF to face off opposing good PFs) clearly wrong more often than right.I feel like our biggest need is a legit PF or a PF/C, Aldama being the prime target.

His contract expire in 2028. He has a $15.6M player option for 27/28.not true at all. Portis contract expires in 2027.
The issue is that everyone who can do all those things costs a lot. Both in assets and cap space.I want a big who can shoot, rebound, and is at
least defensively neutral.
Randle is the definition of inconsistency. But when he gets going, he's the difference maker for Minnesota because Edwards usually does his part.Julius scoring averages is below his season average when he faces the Spurs with Barnes as the starting PF. This one is confusing. I thought he was "so instrumental" to their success, etc.
1 and 3.Pick two:
1. Can Shoot.
2. Can defend and rebound.
3. Won't cost a ton of assets to acquire and retain.
They needed him to get past Dallas and their big man cadre. Mavs won’t be a playoff factor for a while, and IHart is a huge burden on the OKC apron figure. This one is confusing. I thought he was "so instrumental" to their success, etc.
Even with his decline I'd rather keep Barnes than add Huerter tbh.Chicago- Olynyk + Sochan
Memphis- Barnes + 2 2nds
Spurs- Aldama + Huerter
Let's swoop in and get LaRavia from the Lakers to make it work.
Wow they're already gonna be a first apron team even without Hart's money if they pick up Dort's $18.2 million option and if they take salary back for Hartenstein instead of declining his $28.5 million team option this summer they could be around $15 to $20 million into the second apron next season.
Which is what makes it confusing. They can decline the option on Hart and be right at the borderline of the first apron next season, but if they take money back for him they're straight second apron next season. Unless they just wanna move him for expirings and picks. They needed him to get past Dallas and their big man cadre. Barnes was going for Aldama...Huerter was for Sochan and filler. I also think we should send Waters + 2 2nds to nola for Alvarado.Even with his decline I'd rather keep Barnes than add Huerter tbh.
