if you swing for a Lauri trade (i dont see it happening), you keep Fox and you make a push this year and next season. then you move one of Fox/Lauri as wemby's deal comes upBut if Fox is going to be playing Off-ball SG, fuck it.. just trade him for Lauri and deal with the Klutch fallout later.
But then I am still left with Fox playing off-ball SG. I don't want that.if you swing for a Lauri trade (i dont see it happening), you keep Fox and you make a push this year and next season. then you move one of Fox/Lauri as wemby's deal comes up

That makes a ton of sense if you don't believe in Castle's shooting coming around and still makes decent sense if you do believe in his shot. Personally, I'm skeptical of his shot getting there.Trade #1:

Trade #2 (someone else can figure out all the picks that would need to go to BKN, probably not much other than maybe an SRP on our end, since we're providing value in an expiring for SAC here to facilitate them getting off Monk)

We can duck the 2nd apron in 2027-28 with a Sensabaugh extension or trade if he's performed.
Spurs lineup:
Fox/Ellis
Harper/Sensabaugh
Champ/Keldon
Lauri/Barnes/Carti B
Wemby/Kornet/Sharpe
Edit: I have Lauri's final year color-coded wrong, it shouldn't be "Est 25% max"
He's not fodder... he's the centerpiece..castle went from untouchable to lauri trade fodder in half a season![]()
spurs moving castle seems unfathomable given how they seem to view himBut then I am still left with Fox playing off-ball SG. I don't want that.
If that's how we're going to use him, just trade him.
If we're going to use him properly, then we don't have to make as big a splash as acquiring Lauri.
Would I love a Fox/Lauri/Wemby big 3? Sure! But only if Fox is playing PG.
If Castle and Vassell are outgoing in the Lauri trade, then that's another matter (and you actually don't have to move off Fox or Lauri as quickly either). Will run a scenario in my cap sheet spreadsheet a little later. But then all of a sudden we're a little weak at G. Will Utah include Sensebaugh?
he's the keith bogans? He's not fodder... he's the centerpiece..
No arguments there... I"m just sharing my perspective, not what I believe to be something the FO would actually do or even consider.spurs moving castle seems unfathomable given how they seem to view him
they are giving him the primo treatment
So he randomly going to get released for pulling his junk outspurs moving castle seems unfathomable given how they seem to view him

I did say it was subterfuge, but your wrong he was very much a fan favorite. LOTS OF PEOPLE HATE MR TONY P AND WANTED HIM GONE,!!!!George Hill was never a franchise centerpiece.
Got traded at 25 to his home team which also happened to be one of the best teams in the league
That first trade is gross tbh.Trade #1:

I followed this guy last season and the previous offseason. He always claimed to have sources and knew what the Spurs were "thinking" and what moves they were going to make. None of them ever materialized. Needless to say, I don't follow him any more. lol
no idea if dude is legit or not.

We would have to attach all of our draft capital.I wouldn’t mind the Fox-Lauri swap straight up this summer.
You keep saying this but it doesn’t make it true. No matter how much you want to speak it into existenceWe would have to attach all of our draft capital.
The market for Fox is actually already on life support. Nobody wants to import a 60 million guard with no size. Hes not in Ja territory but he’s not not in Ja territory. It’s just a difficult profile to move. And his contract has a few miles left on it to say the least.
Same. Far too soon to give up on Castle/Harper and the possibility of those two playing together at a high level tbh.Sorry I'm not giving up on Castle at age 20 with all he has shown us so far. He screams Alvin Robertson 2.0. Spurs would have to be getting an insane return back and I'm not talking Markannen who I don't think will look all that great as a third option on a winning team, or even a second option. 6'7" initiators who are also uber athletic and high end defenders don't grow on trees.
