MPJ has been an absolute monster this year, and suddenly there's only 1 year left on his contract, so its not as big an albatross
 
Wiggins leads the Heat in mpg, they're not trading him unless we offer a FRP.
But it would be dumb to offer one for a player on an expiring contract.

It's really hard for us to get a wing mid-season, tbh.
We don't want anyone on big money after 26-27 season, we don't want to spend more than 1 FRP, but we also don't want to spend that FRP if it's an expiring contract. And that wing needs to be a positive on both ends.

If the Hawks trade for AD, Porzingis is surely going to Dallas and he definitely doesn't want to be there.
I'd like to see that experiment since he's on an expiring contract.
Three man PF/C rotation of Wemby/Porzingis/Kornet would work in every combination.

My biggest concern for the playoffs is that Gordon/Randle/KD/Jabari/Lebron will kill Barnes with their size.

Porzingis for Sochan+Olynyk+filler+SRPs.

They get a "free" look at Sochan and getting him into "det Heat culture" tbh. I'd be okay with including a late 1st as well.

I think they're good enough this season and next to part with a late first if it means getting another shooting wing that can defend like Wiggins. If he walks after next year or even if he declines his player option after this season, it's worth it to boost your chance of getting to the Finals tbh.

IMO Spurs don't need another 6'6" player, just because he is fake listed at 6'8 or 6'9 (like Sochan is).

I don't think the Spurs should cough up a first. They can either make a big move for a player that will be here for 1.5 seasons or they can make a smaller addition like a Dean Wade or Saddiq Bey without giving up a first.

If Porzingis gets bought out they should scoop him up, otherwise he'd be one of my offseason targets with the MLE. Then you got the ATL pick and can draft an older player who's ready to contribute from day 1 like Yaxel Lendeborg.

Those moves would take the depth from 9 to 12. Then you can package 2 of those 12 players with ATL 27 for another upgrade later next season. Just seems to make a lot more sense.

I'm for Porzingis in that scenario or as a buyout guy...
 
Ya Yabu looks heavy and not playing well. If he netted a pick? Maybe. But basketball wise meh
 
FYI: Trading for Zingus isn't realistic without using Dev or Barnes as matching salary unless you want a five for one deal.
 
Letting Zingus hit the buyout market is risky too. OKC needs another big man like the Spurs and Zingus would be the perfect fit. Denver and the Lakers will be calling too. If you really want him you should trade for him.
