I liked Cam Whitmore pre-draft and he did show talent, but also a lot of character and health concerns have surfaced since then. I no longer want him on the Spurs.Don't want Yabusele anymore. I'd rather take Cam Whitmore if the option is one of those three.
Edit : Just read that Cam is out with DVT? When did that happen. I don't remember hearing about it.
This year’s first has the ATL swap attached, so NO, and next year’s first already resides in Sacto as part of the Fox trade.They get a "free" look at Sochan and getting him into "det Heat culture" tbh. I'd be okay with including a late 1st as well.
I think they're good enough this season and next to part with a late first if it means getting another shooting wing that can defend like Wiggins. If he walks after next year or even if he declines his player option after this season, it's worth it to boost your chance of getting to the Finals tbh.
doubt itI saw something about Memphis making Jaylen Wells available.
I'm not giving them the '27 pick back for anything less than Risacher or Okongwu.Newell --> SA
Sochan --> NY
Yabusele + Atlanta 27 --> Atlanta
Send Atlanta their pick back in 27 and Sochan to NY for Newell. Have no draft pick in 27 but Spurs add a solid young PF with Newell. Needs to be a strong offer to get Atlanta to trade Newell.
Atlanta is high on NewellI'm not giving them the '27 pick back for anything less than Risacher or Okongwu.
It's Atlanta and they odds of them fucking up and having a bad season next year are solid. Especially if they get AD who will inevitably get injured.
Good for them.Atlanta is high on Newell
Yeah, I'm off the Yabu train completely now. I was one of his biggest proponents. Not sure if the Spurs were interested as I remember a report during the offseason that the Spurs were a team in the running for him, and if they did want him and he chose NY, well then, he can stay there. I liked him as a player for a team that I thought would be fighting for the play-in spot, but not for a team that wants to challenge for a long playoff run or the Championship. The Spurs have played a lot better than most of us thought they would, and since they're here now, we need better players as we're very close to contention right now.please no Yabu, that dude can't guard anybody on the perimeter with his stone feet.
I'm also not sure the Clippers want to move Collins. He's pretty good.
Everyone always thinks the Spurs want any French guy, because Wemby is French. Do all American players get along? I doubt all French guys do.Yeah, I'm off the Yabu train completely now. don't have fully formed opinions on either player, but Im slightly biased towards 6'11" Newell and his small sample size. 23 of 50 from 3.Good for them.
Its an upside play that makes sense, but with all the young guys we have i don't know if we want that many extensions at the same time. I'd probably prefer a cost controlled vet.Newell --> SA

Shams Just in: For the first time, the Memphis Grizzlies are entertaining offers to potentially move two-time All-Star Ja Morant ahead of the Feb. 5 NBA trade deadline, sources tell ESPN.
Who wpuld want him and how can we get something out of it?
