Spurs Talk Refugees - Check In

Has ScottSpurs made his way here yet? That's one person I haven't seen in the few days since I joined. I really enjoyed his posts on the lead up to the draft. I know he's very busy, so I'm not sure if he's made his way here yet?

I think I've already seen the majority of people in just 2-3 days since I registered (haven't spent a ton of time here yet). Haven't seen BatManu20, either, I don't think.

Hopefully it's not a question of loyalty for some that haven't made it here. I thought about it for a day or two before moving over, but always intended to as I've realized it seems we were deceived over there in regard to who owns the forum and the upgrades and no communication whatsoever, so really, anyone staying there out of loyalty shouldn't, as whoever owns it just wasn't honest with the members there. You guys have done such a great job here, there really is no reason not to move over to Baselinebums.com.

I agree, I think there's literally zero respect from the current owner/admins at ST towards its user base and that is enough for me to move on, but we're all different and it takes some people more time than others to digest this. I don't want to be part of a community that wipes its ass with their users opinions and requests, continuing to post generic pre-game info and post-game threads without so much as a line to address what is going on in the forum is a slap in the face for the community IMO, and it shows all I need to know.

Glad to have new people posting.

While I'm replying, I've got to say, this new forum is SWEET. Very sleek and functions really well so far. I don't know if you could even pay me money to go back to Spurstalk. I loved that place (Spurs forum itself), but it didn't seem like they cared about their user base at all. They got no-one but themselves to blame (with most people leaving) if they don't get people going back, which I doubt they will.

Only thing keeping that place open is the political forum. Every other place is a ghost town.
 
Has anyone seen KingKev on the new site yet? Add him to our list of folks to track down.
 
No, not yet, but again, it's still preseason, so I think certain people might be taking a bit of time off. It took me a while since it happened during the offseason.

I keep forgetting about that forum as I only went in there once or twice a year. I am guessing maybe that's why they're keeping it open.

Man, I know I was away from SpursTalk for a chunk of dark Suns days 2011-2020, but I didn’t think I was “AFBlue needing to introduce himself to SpursTalk refugees length of time gone? Definitely one of the posters I remember from 2004-2007 days.

Pro tip: If you want to find a member, open the search function and start typing their name into by textbox area, the list pops up right away.
 
I logged out; no point in even posting over there. To respond to the dipshits that live in the politics forum and occasionally post basketball stuff? Fuck that. They know where everyone is at. If they like their one post every day or two content, they can have it.

Hopefully BatManu20 switches over, he registered here, but kept posting at ST.
Opened a couple of GTs from last season at ST, some of the missing members:
Spursistan, Spurminator, rascal, Atl spur, polandprzem, Allan Rowe vs Wade, spurs1990, tonight...you, etc.
