Spurs Talk Refugees - Check In

Greetings. I’ve missed you all. Dejounte here.
Glad to see you found the key of whatever nuclear shelter you locked yourself into. Site wouldn't have been the same without your in-depth pre-draft scouting... and post-draft bragging. ;)

Seriously, welcome. Now we need SpursBills, RDeMurre and Mr. Body.

Ariel, you’re a great poster yourself.

I’ve been reflecting on the darker side of my post history, and it’s not something I’m proud of. It didn’t make the world (in this case, the forum) a better place, and I want to apologize to anyone I’ve rattled. I want to be better than that. In many ways, we know the people here more than the strangers we pass on the street. That’s a profound thought to me. We don’t just share a bond over the Spurs; we talk, we share ideas, we share our likes and dislikes. This forum feels like a small town where we’re all neighbors, probably spending more time talking to each other than with people we call friends in real life. That’s wild to think about.

Sorry if this sounds melodramatic. I just want to say that I care about this community and look forward to continuing the fellowship over the Spurs and whatever else we may find in common.

Sorry if this sounds melodramatic.
Honestly, it does.
Everyone's first rule when it comes to interacting with strangers on the internet should be not to take anything personally.

I also went too far on a couple of occasions, but if we're being honest it's better to do it online if it helps with venting from real life stuff.
I don't think you ever posted anything really bad, don't let whatever happens on this or any other forum impact you in the real world.

Bro, I’m just having a kumbaya moment. Come over here and let’s have a group hug.

Nah, at some point we all probably went a bit farther than we should have due to ST's wild west environment, but nothing too serious stands out about you in that sense. I've always appreciated you being truly about Spurs basketball your commitment to contributing to the board, even if I didn't always agree your perspective was always interesting. Glad to see the community getting its core contributors back.

Never did it on SpursTalk, but on Twitter I had my main account, and 6 “Fuck You” accounts to keep the fight going or force a dude to block my rage 7x.

Bomani Jones blocked me 6x and in two languages. I tormented him for a few days after he said Booker wasn’t any special, not an All-Star, not a game-changer in January of 2021… right before the Finals run and him scoring the most points ever in a first ever playoffs and back to back All-NBA.

I also went to war with ESPN over their Sean Miller/Deandre Ayton payment scandal that was bullshit. Made a Timeline of their claims, debunked them all, got interviewed by local press, Fox Sports, and The Athletic, but used the Fuck You accounts to mercilessly torment ESPN media. Scott Van Pelt even got cursed at and engaged prior to blocking me (he was wrong).

Eventually I walked away from it all.

Revolution and Rage is a young fan’s game…

Glad to see you here man, your takes and views will be a great addition to the board

self destruction, new owner (s?) not taking care of it, people wanted to talk ball on a functional platform and here we go.
Been there. But with the original owner up and abandoning the forum. Sucks and sorry. Cool spot here! Good digs!

I'm in da house like a light skinned slave!
:st-lol:

SpursBills and Mr Body are the two that spring to mind.

For some reason BatManu20 is posting links at ST even though he registered and posted here.

I can just about post any Michael Scott/ Toby gif and it would sum up my feelings towards rascal very, very well….

Be nice, Dejounte…

He probably registered here when ST was dead, when it came back he chose to continue posting there. Some people haven't yet made their peace or come to terms with reality, we have to just respect that.
