Thanks man. Yeah it’s pretty exciting. I’m also excited to see how Reed does and to have Capela off the bench. Actual depth is pretty cool

Tell me about it. I couldn't remember the last time the Spurs had a decent big off the bench. Kevin Willis maybe? :st-lol:
Poeltl came off the bench his first 2 years here. Splitter came off the bench some, as did Diaw (sometimes they would start Diaw). im sure im missing some others.

Splitter came off the bench some,
Splits definitely did some of his best work in the 2014 Playoffs.
Altho he usually started, about 6 games he came off the bench.

2012 Playoffs Splits came off the bench all 13 games. Rigged ref year. Spurs beat OKC we all know it.

Was coming over to talk Carter Bryant with Legler raising his ceiling to that of a future Defensive Player Of The Year! Tried to get the story from threads.
Was high on him after watching him play ASU tbh. Surprised he fell to 14th but I'm not complaining :st-grin:

He’s got almost untapped potential. Later bloomer offensively in high school. Showed some real skill off the bounce as a senior. Settled in at Arizona as a 3/D wing, showcasing the best shooting of his career and highlighting his dynamic burst athleticism.

He’s got tools. But I think it’s crazy to think he’s the DPOY with Wemby on the team. But I do think Wemby can help allow Bryant to become a shutdown wing defender by forcing Carter to remain engaged on-ball rather than engaging at the ball and biting on pumpfakes or getting lost in cuts like at Arizona.

Wemby will be DPOY as long as he's healthy, but if Carter Bryant can be a Toumani Camara type defensively and shoot 3s at a respectable clip, that's probably your 3rd/4th best player on a championship caliber team. Personally I'm just concerned with the 3 ball falling, other than that I love him as a prospect.

For sure to all this. Wemby is the tower and the anchor on that D, and his presence radiates out and allows others to defend smaller spaces with tighter physicality/recovery.

Carter will be a bit all over early, but he’s so damn smart and coachable, I believe he will develop nicely with his shot.

Just logged into ST for the first time in weeks. I saw it was down weeks ago and I gave up checking after a couple of weeks, so I took a long break. Glad that you guys started a new forum as ST now looks like a ghost town. I'm actually surprised they've left the posts up there advertizing/telling people about Baselinebums.
Thanks also to the guys that sent me a PM telling me about this place too.

Going to be a bit different posting elsewhere, as one of the main reasons I went to ST in the first place was the lack of censorship (When I was younger and first went there, I used to vent quite a lot after games during the TD era ;) which you couldn't do at SpursReport. I don't think you could even criticize any of the players, coaching staff or front office from what I remember), but that seems to have gotten out of control, so I guess some sort of moderation was in order over at ST.

I didn't even realize that Timvp doesn't own the place anymore. I probably did read his post in 2016 saying he sold it, but I'd long forgotten since then. I am guessing some people did read it, but must have also forgotten that he sold it. A lot of people may not have seen it as it was during the offseason, so that could be another reason people didn't know it had changed ownership.
