Game Thread Spurs (62-19)vs Nuggets (53-28) (Sunday 4/12/26) [7:30PM CDT]

Worst of all, Harper is definitely hurt tbh. A thumb injury on the shooting hand is really, really bad news. I'm guessing minimum a sprain, hopefully not broken.

Huge chokejob tonight that this team will be learning from for years to come tbh.
wtf Harper got injured too

and Kornet shoulder last game

yikes

I dont get it man… 3 roster slots. I mean, I am on team Bwright but he went about this 3rd string big concern the worst way possible. 1 you can forgive (Biyombo being Wemby’s vet), 2 can just be a very big mistake (Olynyk turning out to be washer than washed).

3 is just — Unreal.
Wish we had Bassey still.

Does seem like more the players doing this than Mitch who left them in the entire game. But yeah thats pretty much when I figured they DGAF.
Yeah you force feed Barnes for the record if you're up 20 in the fourth with 5 minutes left. I'm amazed how little respect they showed to the Nuggets. I suppose with how much fortitude they have shown all year can't be too mad about them losing concentration one night but this would have been a really nice win and they have no excuse for not securing it. Now a title run has to go through both of the other real contenders in the west most likely instead of one which should significantly diminish the odds of getting out of the west, especially when a second round win over Denver is almost certainly gonna take 6 difficult games bare minimum while OKC gets a ton of rest after skullfucking Durant and the Rockets in four.

If we get the opportunity to okay the nuggets in the 2nd round, it will be an epic series. That OT game was so intense. I feel every game will be like that.

Way to not play Jokic. He almost didn’t rest the 1st half.
Jokic pretty much got them the 23 point lead. That fan is just a typical dumbass troll. Jokic vs a bunch of undersized players like the Spurs were using against him equals easy win.

They went from up 3 to up 11 with Jokic on the bench in the second which is completely unforgivable as the Nuggets are generally awful in his minutes off the floor.

That is pretty much true but they had a scoring drought that lasted like for 3-5 minutes once they went up by 11. Jokic broke that drought and they went on a ridiculous run when he reentered the game. Without Jokic they are not in the position to play as well as they did.

I think if the Nuggets beat the Spurs it will be a pyrrhic victory for them anyways. That series will go the distance and they won't have much left to beat OKC.

these are exactly the kinds of tweets that come back to haunt people later… let them gloat. Print them all out for Wemby.
They are responsible of our only 3 losses since March 1st. They have earned the right to feel supremely confident against us. And i personally think they have breached us mentally somewhere in there.

They needed OT at home to beat us the only time both teams played a close to full strength. I think we are very evenly matched and a series could go either way. Wemby v Joker will be epic. We’ll either win, or we’ll get beat by one of the greatest offensive players ever.

I agree their fans have the right to be confident… but I disagree that they are living rent free in the team’s mind. I believe in Wemby, and believe he will be more motivated than he’ll be intimidated.

2 games/losses without Wemby. The one game we had all players healthy, the Spurs were in control of it until the end.

I agree that they are our toughest matchup (think it’s a toss up series right now with either team winning in 7) and Fox is showing to be a liability in a potential series against them but chill out with the “mental edge” narrative a bit. this doesn’t feel like Spurs vs the KD/Westbrook/Ibaka scary kind of matchup just yet.

disappointing af, and seeing the dumbass younger GNSF Reddit fans say things like “we can beat anyone, seeding doesn’t matter to real fans,” is so cringe and annoying tbh lol
