Game Thread Spurs (48-18) vs Hornets (34-33) (Sat 3/14/2026) [2:30PM CDT]

Victor's the MVP. Very good win.

And good game from Kornet. He hasn't had a good game in a while. A bit concerned that Julian has faded a bit this past stretch of games. He's replaced HB in the starting 5, but now he's starting to fade. He has to turn it around as we don't really have many more options for that starting spot.
Meh, Julian will have his share of non impactful games and then go on a hot streak after. It’s just who he is as a player. Not at all worried about him.

- Grandpa Barnes contribute nothing if he don't drop 3s...dropping 2 pts in 20 mins. I am fine if he is back on a vet min next year if we don't have CB. But we have CB and possibly another PF from the upcoming draft, I hope MATFO don't sign Grandpa, unless he hit some clutch 3s in the playoffs.

- Some weird lineup by Mitch during the 3Q or 4Q with Vic, Korndog, Barnes, CB, Fox. (4 frontcourt and 1 backcourt player). Think it is the first time he rolled out this lineup.

- LaMelo could be the next Curry...his quick release is as fast as Curry and as weird as Shawn Marion.

- Korndog lowkey fall down as much as Vic or Castle....Not sure if is trying to buy a call...

- Castle continue his Westbrick experience....Some lazy passes that lead to live TOs (6 today) but he is also the best passer and best lob passer on the team. 10 asts and 6 TOs. +22 plus minus.

- Vic finally tried his mid range jumpers again and it was pure. Think he hit 2/2 and should try these more.

- I thought CB's foot speed seems to be improved...he is able to keep up with picking up the ball handler 3/4 court. CB should also try to attack the rim as he has the physicality to go hard at the rim. He is still hesitant about driving to the rim and is looking to pass out to the guards, but he had 1 drive to the rim and draw the foul.

- Vic had 4 blks on the box score. But based on eye test and comments from Sean and Toby, I think Vic should have at least 6 blks tbh.

- I thought Fox was playing pretty well during the game. He was aggressively and was springy and looking to attack. His box score was quite average 17 pts (6/16 FG), 6 rebs, 4 asts in 34 mins.

- Sean/Toby describing Kon as a 6'6 Steve Kerr is kinda insulting to Kon :st-lol: . Kon's FT shooting stroke really resembles Kevin Love's.

A championship and a championship Finals MVP always means far more than a league MVP award.

Perspective Steve Nash won the league MVP two times. Nobody ever mentions him.
Mention in what? Iguodala won chamionship and finas mvp. Is he ever mentioned as one of yhe greatest players of all time?
