Game Thread Spurs (46-17) vs Rockets (39-23) (Sun 03/08/26) [7:00PM CDT]

Really rooting for the Magic and Heat and Hornets (and Sixers and Raptors) to keep the Hawks in the 9/10 part of the play-in. Just one loss would put the Hawks in the lottery.

The Bulls are finally tanking and the Bucks don't have the time to make up the deficit in the standings.
 
Hate to put negative energy out there but could easily see us shitting the bed for this one. Coming off two big wins looking like the hottest team in the league, at home against arguably our most hated rival at home who has been struggling big time…all the makings of a disappointing loss :st-lol:

Would love nothing more than to blow these fuckers out and really put a stamp on us being the top dog in Texas.
 
I think the only possible L in this 4 game homestand is against the Celtics.
 
HB's absence helps give CB more mins to refine some going into the postseason. Hope HB is just mending old wear and tear to freshen up for postseason. But looks like the bottom is falling out TOSB style. His role can be reduced to something that contributes positively and his playoff experience is priceless.

Our young squad may be good enough to perhaps play themselves deeper into the playoffs than they know how to handle. HB can steady the nerves and uncertainty some in those moments.
 
I say the team rides this momentum pretty solid. Good reason to believe stuff is sustainable and perhaps even still room to grow yet. Guys are looking comfortable like dogs in a pack and everyone is eating. Devin looks like a beast and CB is quickly putting it all together. Health and experience are the limiting factors but the league landscape seems more wide open than usual. Not really any big insurmountable juggernaut like you'd usually have, it seems imho.
 
We believing this HB narrative tbh? Woke up from a nap with a sore ankle so he said "meh, fuck my streak"? Also hasn't even been at the games on the bench? Huh?

Yeah it’s kinda weird that he’s not there on the bench. Not that I’m complaining but it’s a pretty weird situation tbh.
