I would say bench the starters, but unfortunately it's 2026 not 2006 or even 2016. Even against a bad team, it ain't over.
I really want him to get as good as DRob at the elbow jumperIt's actually the one shot I DON'T want him learning (well, and the sky hook...) tbh. Such a repetitive extension of the shoulder, which he already does a ton of to block shots and get rebounds.
I'd love for him to get some go-to moves, but anything that doesn't require him to lift his arms over his shoulders is better in my book. I know the DVT was allegedly caused by physical trauma and should be non-reocurring....... But....... So many other moves in basketball to learn instead!
I think it is a safe lead to rest Wemby already....

I accepted a long time ago that he doesn't have the strength to back down guys in the post like Duncan was able to do so. At best we can just hope for is his offensive game to be a combination of Robinson and Garnett.I'd rather him be a beast down low like Duncan and shoot less threes unless it's in the flow of the offense... stop trying to take people off the dribble like he's prime Tracy McGrady, that's when Wemby turns the ball over...
It always bothered me that there was little clarity on how it was addressed... did he get surgery to decompress the vein where the clot was, like Brandon Ingram? or did they just treat the clot and just hope it doesn't repeat? Not really qualified on medical issues, but I'd feel a lot more comfortable if I knew it was the first option.I'd love for him to get some go-to moves, but anything that doesn't require him to lift his arms over his shoulders is better in my book. Should replace third stingers with contest winners from the crowd in home games, tbh.I would say bench the starters, but unfortunately it's 2026 not 2006 or even 2016. Even against a bad team, it ain't over.

Mitch with the quick timeout up 19. He learned from the best![]()
Have been advocating for the hook shot almost forever.....Hope Wemby and those close to him are open to this suggestion/developmentWemby should absolutely learn the hook shot/sky hook. It suits his body frame well, like Kareem, a relatively skinnier center. He's never going to be Shaq who can just bully his way inside for dunks, but he has to learn to be an efficient paint scorer, almost an automatic two points or foul when you get him the ball in the post. Even mediocre centers like Olowokandi were efficient at that in their prime. Wemby shouldn't be taking guys a foot shorter off the dribble... really hardly ever. He turns it over as often as he does something good from that position.
I know it's 2026 not 1996, but if you're 7'4", play like it.

I don't see a lot of teams putting up 76 point quarters, but I know what you are getting at19 points is three minutes in today's NBA. Six minutes remain.
Neal was a far worse defender though which made him unplayable at times. Like letting a shoeless Mike miller make a 3 over him back in the finals.Champagnie is literally prime Gary Neal. Choo-choo. Woot woot. Let's hope he's not the playoff choker he was, tbh.
Next player to miss a free throw owes Mitch a new car. (If ya know, ya know)
