Game Thread Spurs (34-16) @ Mavs (19-31) (Thu 2/05/26) [7:30 PM CST]

As fans we see games like this and expect a 30 point blowout, because we expect every game to be a perfect measure of one team's superiority over the other.

But there's a reason the Vegas line was "only" -7.5, there's a reason Playoff series are seven games instead of one, and there's a reason teams play 82 games instead of a single elimination tournament.
100%

This is also why I don't judge anyone by their game thread comments :st-lol:

Went to my annual Spurs game here in Dallas last night. usually the Mavs fans are gonna talk mad shit but super quiet last night. Even when the Mavs closed the gap, it seemed like everyone in the AAC knew what was ultimately going to happen.

That being said, Flagg is gonna be a problem. Only hope is that multiple other players being able to do anything offensively will limit his touches.

we measure the roster, not the roster + the coaches

hes pissed cause this team aint trying to improve. We are a good team,Doesnt mean we cant keep improving.Saw yabu and jocks with
there new teams,And they looked real good.
Sounds like YOU might be pissed for zero reason...
yabusele and san antonio food are a disaster waiting to happen...

i did not see anything out there that a sochan/olynck trade would be an improvement...id rather keep sochan and olynck for the day vassell or others are out with injuries and the spurs have insurance...

if the core we have now is somehow not enough to seriously make a deep run - then it wont be because of the talent -it will be because of injuries or bad luck...im even good with mitch right now and like how he has a feel - a pulse for what the team needs - even tho all the fragile cliff jumpers here endlessly panic for zero reason here 24/7

Carter Bryant made a couple of really nice passes for his assists. The Wemby lob and a laser out to the wing to Fox for a 3.

Things definitely slowing down for him.

Yes...those are very decisive passes. Something that Sochan don't possess.

passes like that seemed impossible for him to start the season. frankly his inability to know what to do or where to go with the ball was a bigger issue than his shooting. good to see him settle down a bit
