Spurs have to figure out how to get wemby more involved on offense. You cant score 20 in a half and then just forget about giving him the ball. So many times he would battle for position around the elbow and our wings either ignore him or make awful entry passes.

Castle off the bench was interesting. In theory gives more shooting to the starting line up. That said, even though he had a great game I don't understand only playing him 21 minutes and giving any minutes to JM.

You have 3 lead guards plus vassell and champ. Those JM minutes should have gone to Castle.

I just dont really understand Mitch's rotations at all. I honestly don't think he understands them either.

Overall I'll take the dub but the coaching staff really needs to spend the Allstar break reworking some stuff

Since you are at the game, you likely missed this, but they said Castle was on minutes restriction.

Yeah I didn't catch that until after posting. That makes way more sense now.

In a conspiratorial speculation... say Silver went to Nico and said "look buddy... we'll give you Flagg, but you have to send Luka to the Lakers" - Nico made the right decision. I'd take Cooper over Luka for sure, plus Dallas got a little extra.

But unless that's what actually happened... then yeah, still the dumbest trade in history

personally i dont see how you rig the lottery unless all 30 teams (and members of the media present in the drawing room) are in on it

i also just dont see how the ping pong system can really be gamed in any meaningful way

then again, the mavs landing Flagg is the one lotto conspiracy that is very hard to refute narratively :st-lol:
 
Wait a second though. I’m watching highlights and noticed Castle wasn’t in the starting lineup. Is this Mitch fiddling, Castle minutes restriction, or can we can possibly expect Fox running the helm from now on potentially?

Yea Wemby seemed pissed toward the end. I wonder if it was just frustration over losing that 13 pt lead and huddle stuff, that effected his half-ass handshake with Flagg, or if there's some animosity between them.
