Just for fun and out of curiosity, I just looked up Tim Duncan's first ever career game against the Nets. He led the Spurs with 21 efficient points and 17 boards, but also commited 7 TOs. He didn't have that much help, though, with David Robinson only going 5-12 for 13/8, and Avery Johnson the only other Spur to reach double figures with 11 points and 5 assists. The Nets were led by 21 from Keith van Horn (on 7-30 shooting, ouch) and 20 from Kerry Kittles (on 7-20, still bad enough), while Sam Cassell added 14 points and 8 assists.
The Nets won 95-84 at home.
