Game Thread Spurs (40-16) vs Pistons (42-13) (Mon 02/23/26) [6:00 PM CST] on Peacock

K Incredible victory. Yes, Vassell and the game of his life. Victor was incredible, but we won the game when Bryant came in and got his hands dirty, bringing obscene physicality. He fought fire with fire.

Vassell put our boys over the top tonight. He should’ve touched the ball every possession in the 4th the way he was shooting

Had a nice timely 3 as well.

Just what we need… Julian was very good at boards and 3’s…

Hoping Vecenie and Brice go live tonight to discuss this game, because I think the narrative may indeed begin
They usually are all over Detroit & not really acknowledging the Spurs much at all. Looks forced when they do.

Speaking of which, did Bryant get injured or something? He was playing some great minutes but never saw the court after those 3 fouls - he's exactly the player we need to face these kind of physical teams

He sure played like he was on the deaf squad tonight lmao

Idk homie, Vassell draining 3s like a video game Def helped
That’s true he did shoot very well but it wasn’t something absolutely crazy. I guess meaning spurs as a team shooting like over 50% for the game or somebody going off for 40.

And typically it seems like someone is always stepping up. If not Wemby then vassell or fox or castle or Harper or even KJ.

Man that first OKC game was a pretty dang good win....tie maybe?
Nothing will beat that hype. We still didn’t know who we were back then or what we were capable of, and OKC had buzz around having the best record of all time and on an insane run. It was also the NBA Cup which does mean a bit more

Beating them was glorious

Injuries definitely played a part of their struggles in the last 25 games, but I think SA put a little bit of a doubt in their minds.

Did he play after he didn’t warn Wemby that Cade was coming from behind off the corner for the steal?

Fox was lack luster but it didn't matter. This Team is deep.
This should be the motto for the next 10 years if MATFO play their cards right. Don’t change the roster strategy or deviate too much from what they’ve done. They built this team the right way. Only upgrade existing parts when necessary.
