Spurs could end up with the best record and Wemby still wouldn't win MVP tbh. NBA media is notorious for awarding it based on whose turn they consider it to be. Spurs also have a lot of talent while a team like Detroit is heavily dependent on Cade and Duren to win games.

Right now the spurs are on 10 game winning streak if they continue the streak to 20 games that will get a lot of media attention. Wemby needs to take adavantage of it and pad his stats while the team is on a winning streak. Wemby is a media darling. They already glazing wemby at allstar break.

Agreed, but it would take Jokic, SGA, and Doncic all missing the 65 game threshold with Cunningham and Brunson underperforming to get to frontrunner status (whether that's fair or not) tbh.

Wemby can get the top spot if the spurs continue the winning streak. The only problem is the minutes restiction. If mitch play wemby 35 mpg(like tonight's game) the rest of the season he has a good shot.

Doncic has a better shot than Wemby because he's a Laker on top of the raw stats tbh. He's also one of those players the voters would give it to due to perceiving it to be his turn.

Wemby has a higher chance than Luka in my opinion. Yes doncic has the stats but lakers are inconsiatent, 5th spot and might not win 50 games. Thats the reason luka didnt win MVP up until now. I think he only had 2 50 win season in his career and the highest hia team finished is 5th or 4th seed.

Great win. Is the shooting sustainable? Probably not, but the win was convincing enough with certain guys could be able to step in if Vassell does not score that much.
