So many Spurs games being moved to nationally televised slots the rest of the way. Spurs have become must-see TV tbh. What a time to be alive.
Wemby is an eyeballs magnet. That's the memo going around the networks executive offices..I think this like the 6th additional game flexed nationally for the Spurs. Notice the targeted big market (Chicago, Boston) even with Bulls being in tank mode. They just want to make a killing in advertisements on the back of Wemby. So many Spurs games being moved to nationally televised slots the rest of the way. Spurs have become must-see TV tbh. theres nothing to underestimate. are derozan and westbrook really going to guide this team to wins?Hopefully Spurs don't underestimate the Kangz but they have been pretty abysmal this year and shut down Sabonis and Lavine for the season so this should be an easy W which should get us to 40 wins before 20 losses. Don't think any of us had that on our bingo card at the beginning of the season. Awesome stuff
Pistons are definitely cookin' right now, winning 8 of their last 10 and with Cade looking like a legitimate MVP candidate. But even if we lose that one on the road, it'll be a good measuring stick game for us tbh. Spurs could use some road adversity against top-tier teams before the Playoffs start. Can only help us in the long run.I kinda don't like the Spurs are walking into that big game vs the Pistons while undercooked having played a bunch of mediocre and tanking teams the past two weeks.. That could get ugly especially early on.
Didn't we lose to a depleted Memphis team though? I'm just saying. I'm sure our guys got this but you can never take anything for granted in the NBA where it just takes one off night and someone going nuclear on us to losetheres nothing to underestimate. are derozan and westbrook really going to guide this team to wins?
there are trap games on teams with legit talent like Pelicans with Zion, Murphy, Queen, Bey, or a healthy/ethical Utah. but some teams like Brooklyn (especially without the possibility of a Cam heater) and Kangz are just not there talent wise to pose a threat
we've still got road games vs the Knicks, Pistons, Nuggets, Raptors, and Clippers x2Pistons are definitely cookin' right now, winning 8 of their last 10 and with Cade looking like a legitimate MVP candidate. they were depleted but still had JJJ at least, who played well that gameDidn't we lose to a depleted Memphis team though? I'm just saying. I'm sure our guys got this but you can never take anything for granted in the NBA where it just takes one off night and someone going nuclear on us to lose
Yep and I think we'll be better off for it. Rather roll into the Playoffs being recently battle-tested than beating up on bad teams tbh.we've still got road games vs the Knicks, Pistons, Nuggets, Raptors, and Clippers x2
Demar and Westbrick have the potential to turn the clock back for a game here and therethey were depleted but still had JJJ at least, who played well that game

Looking forward to the 40-20 landmark... But also wouldn't like too much of a beatdown - I have a friend who's amasochistKings fan, he was terribly sad when they shipped off Fox... And even sadder when they got DeRozan lmao. It's bleak in SacTo.
On the plus side, we've become his "secondary team" so that's cool, but still isn't pretty to watch your ex beating up your current GF or whatever. Spurs by 10...
One of my two main basketball buddies at the office is a Kangz fan (the other a Blazers fan) - I feel bad for them. They have great fans. But they are also the most realistic/cynical fanbase I've ever met... they know they're the Kangz for a reasonLooking forward to the 40-20 landmark... . They've kind of become my adopted team as a result. I hope they get the #1 pick (and I hope they don't screw it up).Lmao @ this part:
Yeah, I try and cheer for them on matchups that don't affect us... But it kind of feels like they've just gotten worse every single year since I've started keeping tabs on them lolOne of my two main basketball buddies at the office is a Kangz fan (the other a Blazers fan) - I feel bad for them. Luke's humor has strong shades of Matt "Coach B" Bonner's. Like I said in the game thread, those two together would have been hilarious. I think they can still do a few stuff together given that Matt's with the Spurs org still.Lmao @ this part:
"But like Bruce Wayne, we fall so that we learn to pick ourselves up and because with modern rules the offensive player is allowed to truck stick you and it’s your fault for standing there (I’m looking at you Deni Avdija!)"
Pretty sure Bonner is a studio commentator for the Toronto Raptors nowLuke's humor has strong shades of Matt "Coach B" Bonner's. Like I said in the game thread, those two together would have been hilarious. I think they can still do a few stuff together given that Matt's with the Spurs org still.
gotta give RC credit. These Austin games are great marketing for the franchise.
Also shows why Jerry Jones has been so adamantly against San Antonio getting an NFL team. He would lose a big chunk of the San Antonio market and a lot of Austin too.gotta give RC credit. These Austin games are great marketing for the franchise.
As far as I know, Matt Bonner's long gone. Can't remember when he left, but I think it's been at least two seasons now?Luke's humor has strong shades of Matt "Coach B" Bonner's.
