Game Thread Spurs (36-16) @ Lakers (32-19) (Tue 02/10/26) [9:30PM CST]

The game is played differently now, though, and we can’t forget Pop managed TD’s minutes.
pop lowered duncan’s minutes not until 2009-2010 season. From 2004-2005 to 2008-2009 season he was still playing 34 minutes a game.

Mitch and pop also fckng wemby’s minutes from the start(rookie season) up until now in his 3rd season.

Highlights beyond the super obvious Wemby 1st 8 minutes expo:

Seeing Wemby and Carter show some serious chemisty and harmony. Albeit against the Laker JV team but damn, they had some back and forth passes that make the next 5 years look very promising. Carter looks to be a bona fide Championship piece.

Never been a James fan, but never really got the hate so many have for him either.

Even the nepotism, sports like so many industries is filled with at all different levels, yet no one seems to care when it's David Adelman, Mike Dunleavy Jr., Austin Ainge and a whole host of others benefitting from it.
I've honestly mellowed out on him in recent years - ever since '19 or so, when it became clear he was starting to decline. Much more so after Kobe's death - that saying of "appreciate it while it's here" really rang true. BUT...

The dude has had some annoying-ass moments that warranted much of the hate he's gotten. The Decision is self-explanatory in its obnoxiousness. The '11 Finals embarrassment wouldn't even be so bad -- if he hadn't anointed himself as the GOAT, self-proclaimed in an interview. The move to LA. The comments on Daryl Morey and China. The badly hidden HGH cycles..... The "Aint no party like a Diddy party". The buddy-buddy with Raymond Green, and the banana boat.... It goes on.

Some of the early criticism he got was very stupid (those Facebook memes with "Lebron 3 quarters" "Ringless LeBron" etc), but he truly earned a fair share of it, IMO.
