Game Thread Spurs (36-16) @ Lakers (32-19) (Tue 02/10/26) [9:30PM CST]

Bronny gonna try to go for a career-high on us tbh. His current career high is 17 pts.

Never been a James fan, but never really got the hate so many have for him either.

Even the nepotism, sports like so many industries is filled with at all different levels, yet no one seems to care when it's David Adelman, Mike Dunleavy Jr., Austin Ainge and a whole host of others benefitting from it.

I don't necessarily hate LeBron, but no one can be considered the goat who is 4-6 in the Finals. He is definitely the GOAT of longevity (never had a season ending injury).

Jordan never faced a team in the Finals as good as the Spurs and Warriors, who James had to face a combined 7 times.

His teams didn't stand a chance in five of those series ('07, '14, '15 because of Irving/Love injuries, '17 and '18) despite him generally playing about as well as possible.

Points differential in '93 finals was exactly 0 and Suns definitely had a better supporting cast than the Bulls.
I'd say the same could be said about '91 and '92.
Second threepeat was a superteam, but even then MJ got it done after Pippen injured his back and couldn't contribute.

CB rocking cornrows. His confidence is already growing tbh. I fully expect him to be wearing a giant diamond-laced chain necklace and a durag after tonight's game if he plays well.

I read somewhere that cornrows are the first stage of becoming a pineapple bro.

So you're saying teams that were past their prime (Lakers) or never won a championship (Trail Blazers, Suns) are comparable or greater to dynasties (Spurs, Warriors)?

I'm not saying I consider James > Jordan, just that the Finals record argument is weak.

Okc then the lakers sitting everyone
Probably GSW could do the same tomorrow

It would never have happened last year.

It's nice to be respected and that it's better to not even try to beat the spurs if your top stars are unavailable

It's less interresting to watch though

I'm saying Lebron had way better supporting casts.

bron also had two rings before the warriors faced them in 2015 😹😹😹 then was the beneficiary of silver BS when draymond got suspended in 2016. Fakest shit ever, then the next ring the Mickey Mouse participation trophy

the lakers have been a pretty bad team that have been kept afloat by ridiculous shotmaking of doncic and reaves
That, and a heavy dollop of ref assistance. They’re a

Jordan never team hopped to get the best chance at a Finals, taking the easy path thru the east, and nearly guaranteeing a bitch slapping in the Finals.

People love the 8 straight finals berths ignoring how putrid the east was during that run. demar/kyle Lowry, PG/west/hibbet, #1 seed hawks his toughest comp 😹😹

Oh. Well, that's debatable too. I'd say James played with superior individual talents ('11 Wade and '20 Davis > any Pippen season), but Jordan's cores fit better and obviously he had more continuity with them.

If James had Pippen and Grant and later Rodman to replace Grant plus Kukoc, he probably never leaves the Cavaliers.

Lol i didnt know most people here are jordan fans lmao

We can make the case that the five GOATS should be >>>>>

Chamberlain
Duncan
Bird
Magic
Jordan
