Please even in the early years he could have demanded more shots he had one season at 18 compared to shaq who had over 10 season with18+ shots a game. Duncan could have demand more shots than he took but did not he could have got his if he wanted.

He’s the best player on this team by a mile. He will get plenty of shine. A player’s legacy is really all about winning championships. I don’t worry about the greatest of all time conversation because the media decided a long time ago that nobody is ever taking that away from Michael Jordan. It’s pointless to even try.

So you think the only way spurs can win championship if a young wemby step back and ride the spurs system where nobody scores more than 25ppg? So how come mj, lebron , magic, SgA, jokic and other greats was able to win champioships without sacrificing their individual stats/accolades?

I honestly don’t give a shit. If they have an opportunity to win the NBA championship this season by whatever means you get that done. Who has the best stats means nothing to me. If Steph goes off in the NBA finals and averages 30 points. Great. Hold up the trophy and hang the fucking banner.

Winning a championship is a given. Ofcourse you want to win a championship. Sorry im more of a wemby fan than spurs fan. So i care for his individual accolades and also winning a ring.

It will also affect on wemby by end of his career. He will be remmwber by “wemby got carried by castle, he wasnt the alpha, etc”…stuff. Lmao.

Nah, you’re an individual accolades-fan not a Wemby fan. It’s year 3, you should have had a sense of who Wemby is by now. Wemby’s words should matter to you instead they don’t and you allow these cynical thoughts overtake your mind instead. When Wemby says something, maybe believe him?

What kind of player fan thinks that they know better than the player they claim to like every step of the way? How he’ll be compared to other greats is just pure insecurity. If you can’t enjoy the pure team player and self-sacrificing player that Wemby is right now, then you’ve lost the plot. There’s way more honor and legacy-making that Wemby is doing right now by the way he’s acting than… triple doubles for the whole year. Remember when Westbrook averaged a triple double for the year? Where did that lead him?
