Game Thread Spurs (35-16) vs Mavs (19-32) (Sat 2/7/26) [5:00PM CST] on Amazon Prime

Oh wemby went 5–9 from 3 last game? Expect him to go 1-6 from 3 today.

Sochan has value. This board is fucking crazy. He'll sign somewhere next season.
Could you shut up about criticizing this board so much?
You're one of the craziest here by far.
Talk about casting stones while living in a glass house...

Nah. You didn't watch the game.
He went 5-5 in the 1st half then 0-4 the 2nd.

He got his misses out, I hope.

Gotta weird feeling about this one. On paper, you would think a team trying to work in three new players (assuming they actually play) would be in chaos...but these Spurs don't seem to like making anything easy for themselves.

Honestly I don’t love the majority of potential first round matchups.

Think we’d be underdogs against Denver/Minnesota/Houston/LA. Wouldn’t feel super confident against GS/Phoenix/LAC either but I guess with GS losing Butler and LAC trading Harden/Zubac those might be less worrisome matchups.

Really don’t see any 1st round matchups that make me go “Oh we’d be clear and decisive favorites against those guys”. Maybe that’s just a sign that I don’t really believe in this team :st-lol:
I'm not scared of any of these teams.

We are too athletic for the Lakers and their defense is one of the worst in the league. They wouldn't stand a chance and are my favorite first round match up.

Rockets are way too easy to defend due to Amen being a complete liability on offense and they lack playmaking.

Clippers are trash, no bench. Light work.

Phoenix would be a tough series that goes 6 or 7 games, but I'm confident the Spurs would win.

Warriors are old. Would also be a longer series if Porzingis is healthy, but I'm confident we'd smoke them.

I just don't want to play the Timberwolves in the first round.

Best case realistic scenario is: 1) OKC 2) Spurs 3) Houston 4&5) Denver / Minny 6) Phoenix 7) Lakers 8) GSW
Then you'd face Lakers, Houston/Phoenix, then OKC/Denver/Minny

They're the most organized/disciplined team of the bottom half of the playoff teams, but I think we have too much quality for them.
First loss was without Fox and second was without Wemby and Castle.

BOLD PREDICTION: Carter Bryant racks up a 15/10 and 5 blocks, and demonstrates lock dock defense on Cooper Flagg. Basically, CB is today's player of the game.

Just noticed HOU/OKC playing today...one of them's gotta lose, hopefully its the Rockets because in the wise words of Jeremy Sochan, "Fuck Houston"

Rockets up 5 with 25 ticks left

If SGAs injury is real we should really try pushing for the #1 seed.
