Healthy is the operative wordA little bit of healthy pessimism it’s a good thing. Just keep playing boys.
YepHealthy is the operative word
Just wait until our next loss. I remember people were losing their shit because we didn't win that meaningless cup game against New York lol.Yet we’re about to lose in the first round they said
Did you get any scoops from RC?I missed the game, but, see that you managed to get the win without me. I was, however, watching DJG and Charles Bassey going off in Cedar Park, TX.
Your boy Bassey looked phenomenal, scott. He hit 3 treys and the game winning bucket. DJG was the best player on the floor. I hope he's on the big team next year. I got to have a brief chat with RC Buford, too. Overall, a great night.
And the Knicks got smacked up by the Hawks tonight so. It’s a long season.Just wait until our next loss. I remember people were losing their shit because we didn't win that meaningless cup game against New York lol.

Did you tell RC to BRING BACK CBASS?!?!?!?!?I missed the game, but, see that you managed to get the win without me. I was, however, watching DJG and Charles Bassey going off in Cedar Park, TX.

Only that they are way ahead of schedule. He still operates from the CIA Pop school of info sharing. It was cool to hear one of the architects of the team say this though. I did wonder if he was there for Bassey and/or Bassey scouting.Did you get any scoops from RC?
The NBA season is an 82 game season. 64 games played is the majority of games. Actually, it’s 78% of the season.the rule makes sense. it doesn't matter how good or impactful you are at something if you never play. i don't see how someone could claim to be the league's most valuable player if they can't play a majority of games; there's no value in sitting on the bench.
How cool for sharing! Good information. Thanks!I missed the game, but, see that you managed to get the win without me. I was, however, watching DJG and Charles Bassey going off in Cedar Park, TX.

Yeah our inexperience will show a lot too. Ideally the spurs trade Barnes and KO for an upgrade but we know that won’t happen. This is the group we have for the playoffs whether we like it or not.
Doesn’t help that we match up poorly with the lower half of the top 8 west teams.
Exactly, right now they would. Plenty of season left and moves/playstyle adjustments to be made. If the Spurs stand pat they'll lose to those teams (Dubs and Clips if the latter makes the playoffs, Suns could be trouble but we'll have to see on them). If the Spurs can improve their 3-pt defense, rebounding, and shooting they'll have a shot. The Suns lol. Damn have a little faith brother. It’s not like it’s April right now. We don’t know where this team will be in a few months? If they stay healthy, they can definitely make it to the conference final. But it’s all about the big guy being able to stay on the floor honestly.
Playoffs are a different animal and this team has some of the same issues tbh. Honestly a little eerie how similar they are, though this team is deeper. This Spurs team is much better than last season's Rockets, tbh.
Yes that was me! Dang that’s crazy I didnt think anyone would remember!
I said after the draft and the hiring of Sweeney/Williamson this team was gonna be a legit playoff team (top 6, not play-in). Problem was always going to be their lack of playoff experience and outside shooting, but now their horrendous 3-pt defense and rebounding are looking like fatal flaws and teams are starting to really take advantage of it. Something needs to change sooner rather than later or they could fall into the play-in, especially if injuries keep rearing their ugly head tbh.Honestly, Robz isn't wrong on his analysis. Suns/Warriors/Clippers actually scare me more than playing teams like the Lakers/Rockets.
But I do frown on posters that feel the need to always downplay our team and act like our weaknesses outweigh our strengths. One of the things about the ST culture is that the Mavs/Lakers fans over there would make fun of us for having homer takes so naturally everyone became pessimistic and cynical in their fandom. Glad there's so much less of that here and we can just support our team, even if we sound like homers sometimes.

Yeah I kept the username almost the same, just used my name this time instead of initialsYou were one of my homies on ST, of course I remember you lol. The username mostly checked out. Glad you made your way here. Didn't see you on ST much the last few years.

He's done wonders even considering this team's lack of defensive personnel outside Wemby, Castle, Kornet, and (sometimes) Vassell. Hell, he's turned Keldon into a serviceable defensive player. That said, you can tell this team is missing the PF to truly run his defensive scheme. If they could somehow steal PJ Washington from the Mavs it can fix a lot of their issues. My best friend is a Mavs fan and when the Spurs signed Sweeney away from them, I told him it was a HUGE move for the Spurs. While not exactly where we want them to be, the defense has been waaay better than the trash we’ve seen the last 2-3 seasons.
