Game Thread Spurs (24-9) @ Pacers (6-28) (Fri 01/02/26) [6:00 PM CDT]

Big shot by Fox and he needs to calm the guys down in these situations and make sure they don’t shoot the ball so early

Champagnie should just try to learn how to do a floater like Danny Green did. Sheesh
I cringe when people compare him to Danny Green on Reddit. The only similarity is they are feast or famine. But Green wasn’t completely useless when his shot wasn’t falling.

This was unnecessarily close. Could have been done with this game earlier if the Spurs weren’t wasting it on terrible 3 point shots.

The Pacers will get a pretty high draft pick this year. That + developing their younger guys + Haliban returning should set them up nice for next year.

If the Spurs drop to the 4 seed they're probably not WCF material much less title material. In that case I wouldn't mind a Denver matchup to give the Spurs experience against a title team in a series.
I want a playoff series win tbh

Champ's not a defensive ace like LDN but he's still a very quality perimeter defender.

Sorry but Barnes will have to take a substantial paycut next year, he has one good game every eight games.

Absolutely no way can we trust this outside shooting come playoff time, god damn
Yeah our inexperience will show a lot too. Ideally the spurs trade Barnes and KO for an upgrade but we know that won’t happen. This is the group we have for the playoffs whether we like it or not.

Doesn’t help that we match up poorly with the lower half of the top 8 west teams.
