Game Thread Spurs (20-7) @ Wizards (5-21) (Sun 12/21/25) [6:00PM CDT]

They won’t lose 3 in a row to us.
Why not?
The pressure is on them, they know losing another one against us would mean we're completely in their heads.
Chet disappears whenever Wemby is on the floor and we have the best possible matchups to throw at SGA.

We have nothing to lose and that's the biggest advantage.

This is a good night to start Victor to ensure he gets his 21 minutes with a majority in the first half to be eligible for postseason awards. That is why he started the fourth against the Hawks. Things could get real ugly in the second half, and there would be no reason to play him and risk something.

Because Christmas Day is a showcase for them at home to prove they’re the best team in basketball. I’m not saying they will be the best team in basketball at the end of the season but I’d be stunned if they don’t win that game. It’s a statement game. If I am wrong, I will be happily wrong.

The thing about OKC, is that they do one thing: jam the passing lanes and run off that. Even with Victor on limited minutes, he shut down the paint. OKC isn’t a great shooting team if you get them in the half court, and if they feel constrained from going into the paint, it increases the pressure on their three point shots,

We’re a really bad matchup for them if we have everyone available.

Why are the Wiz resting their guys? Losing organically & competitively is much better for team's growth than just punting games outright

Punishment for the last beat down? All the losing is wearing out the stars? Too many puffy tacos?

This doesn‘t make any sense. They bumped his minutes up to 25 in the cup finale. That‘s enough to start and play 6 min per quarter.

I'm sure Wemby has enough pull to say he wants to start and they'll start him. He's being a good soldier and doesn't want to mess up what's working.

Hopefully for today, more playing time for >>>

Dylan Harper
Carter Bryant
Lindsey Waters
Olynyk, Biyombo and the new addition
