Game Thread Spurs (15-6) @ Cavs (13-10) (Fri 12/5/25) [6:30PM CDT]

Why it takes ages for a simple obvious decision.

We are missing our best and 3rd best player. Plus our back-up center.

Cavs have their 2 top players. That's all it takes tbh.
They need Wemby/Castle back for the Pelicans game to get some reps; otherwise it would be a mistake throwing them straight into that Cup game (just accept taking more Ls as this group is dead tired). Not sure how the hell Steph went from missing a between 1 to 2 weeks to more than 3 weeks and still going

Dunno how DJG avoided ejection there…

Getting outscored by 25 in the third is not great.

Even so, he got through his rookie years mostly injury free but now has been out a couple of weeks. I just hate the spurs injury luck this season.

that was well setup for the sochan 3, no complaints with that shot tbh. But why are devin's minutes at 20 after 3/4? wtf mitch

Sochan really stupid shooting that.

The player who threw a full court shot had more chances of making it than you.
remember all those videos during summer practicing his 3-point shooting. None of the ones he is taking now look like the ones he took in those videos. His form actually looks worse now than last year

Tbf, he took them off the dribble in those videos, maybe that's the key.

Never really bought those.

This was bound to happen. Atkinson telling his team to focus on scoring in the paint instead of jacking it up and they did that largely in the third quarter limiting threes to open shots. Will take a miracle to recover in the 4th quarter for the Spurs.

what happened defensively that quarter is not exactly surprising given your only two viable bigs are out and their stand-ins (biyombo/olynyk/sochan) are barely nba players at this point.

just gotta hope kornet's latest ouchie doesn't keep him out until 2026 because with no wemby return on the horizon it could be a rough few weeks

This Tomlin guy is an example of what’s possible when you don’t use your 2-ways on worthless bums like Minix and Ingram

Yeah we need another reliable big. Especially because Wemby and Kornet aren’t exactly injury prone less. Suckhan given a golden opportunity and does little with it.
