Game Thread Spurs (1-0) @ Pelicans (0-1) (Fri 10/24/25) [7:00 PM CDT]

I thought Dallas was a one off but 65% on FTs tonight… is this a fluke or something that needs to be addressed we think??

We need Fox back ASAP. To get this shit organized
Yes, very very ugly but very encouraging to get a win w/o Vic in OT. Castle and Harper played pretty poorly but still did enough to keep us in it and get the win.
9 more missed FTs, this one doesn't go to OT if we just hit 75% from the line, that's got to change.
Seems very clear they plan to get Kornet 25+mpg, this may have been the most minutes he's ever played.
Considering we are down our #2 and likely 10th man, great first 2 games. GSG!!!

They got a professional win.

On the road. Playing C level basketball. Castle having a bad game, Wemby playing B level, poor shooting, but found a way to come back in the 4th and win in OT without Wemby.

The need for Fox in close games late is glaring though. Castle and Harper aren't yet ready to be the guy at point in those situations.

Kornet was such a great fucking signing. Kept the Spurs in the game with 9 offensive boards and playing D on Zion. Probably the most impactful player outside of Wemby.

Kornet with 34mins today....tbh he is underpaid at 10mil/year if he is playing 30+min per game

I don't know if he can keep that up.

He is right in his prime age wise, doesn't have a lot of wear on the tires, and has championship experience. If he was ever ready to shoulder that kind of a load it's right now.

A road win in OT is always a positive, regardless of the shitstorm that preceded it

Castle look embarrassed AF after falling down on the inbounds play. Rightfully so.
Harper, Vassell, Champagnie and even Castle came up big down the stretch to secure a win w/out Wemby. So much to clean up, but, game 2 is not usually very pretty. They'll figure it out.
