Game Thread Playoffs Round 2, Game 1: Spurs vs Timberwolves (0-0) (Mon 05/04/2026) [8:30 CDT]

anyone else having major issues with threads loading to latest post due to rendering of tweets/images/videos?

Wemby might need to play a ton of minutes this game. He can definitely play Gobert off the court

that doesn’t bode well for San Antonio. It seems the Spurs wre giving up a ton of open threes to the Blazers
They were doing that by design since the Trail Blazers weren't very good shooting the 3 on the season.

I've had the same issue but it isn't always on pages that have tweets/images/videos.

Happens to me too (on browser), I assumed it was all of the content loading but the screen jumps all over the place

Exactly. Super annoying and it just started happening within the past day or 2

Some on this board expect Carter Bryant to play a role against Timberwolves bigs and I agree. Will Carter Bryant eventually become a better player than Amen Thompson of the Rockets?

Feels like we’re underestimating the Wolves. Say what you want about Denver but a depleted wolves team eliminated a fairly healthy Denver team.
Denver was NOT healthy. Both AG and Eatson missed game 6. Those are two of their best players. You need stars to lift you I the playoffs. Minny’s lifted them to a 3-1 lead, but there is no way they beat Denver startingin the condition they are in now.
The FO has the final say. If it was up to Ant he'd prolly be playing game one. Sometimes you have to save the players from themselves tbh.
just remind them about I.T. Playing for Boston in those playoffs ended his career. Grant Hill, too. He was a forward version of Jokic, stat stuffer who looked like the real next Jordan. He played in the playoffs on an injured ankle, and proceeded to play 145 games in the next 5 seasons. He made a great comeback after that, but he was a role player.

Definitely has a chance if given enough mins. At least we know CB can shoot.

Amen might become another Ben Simmons if he is unable to shoot the 3.

I just hope when our offense dies and man did it look bad at times against Portland but with no ant and divvy we should be able to withstand the offensive droughts that tend to plague us

I hope the after-effects of Wemby coming back too soon after getting his bell rung have subsided. He has looked different imo

Would be a waste for them to put him on Fox imo. I think Castle will dominate the Gobert matchup since he got used to being guarded by Cs in the first round. OTOH, I think he'd struggle against McDaniels. I also think McDaniels will ultimately be their best bet against Wemby. Not to mention they won't have an answer for Vassell with Ant and DVV being out; the loss of those two really limits their options defensively. Again, fully healthy the Spurs would struggle against the T'Pups in the half court on both ends imo.
No

They will allow randle to try and manhandle wemby and see how much abuse the refs will allow randle to get away with…especially if wemby is too comfortable being guarded by gobert and wemby brings gobert away from the basket and then blows by him…

And then wemby has to finally get pissed and start going alien-level….

What is NBC Sports Network? Probably a streaming service? Ugh. My pops doesn’t stream games but has cable so he is missing quite a few games this postseason.

NBC Sports net is like FS1 an extra channel but yes if you don't have that you need Peacock

He should be able to watch pretty much all the games with cable sans Amazon Prime Video.
