Game Thread Playoffs Round 1, Game 5: Spurs vs Blazers (3-1) (Tue 04/28/2026) [8:00 CDT]

Dejounte was at the game too apparently. Frost was loaded with Spurs alum. I can't help but notice Porky has been nowhere to be found these Playoffs though tbh.

Always to good to see DJ but my guy has been begging to come back for a while now, pretty much ever since that interview where he trashed the org
:st-lol:

Not the worst target in a few years if he's open to a bench role tbh.

Some of the stuff Thiago did was weird, at least in my opinion. Why have his bigs RWIII and Clingan hang out at the perimter so much and shoot ill-advised threes? Anyway, seems like he did a good job overall. And seems like he might wanna get away from this weird cheap owner in Portland and go somewhere else.

That was the only way to pull Wemby from the paint. Its an obvious move, IMO. Clingan was 5-25 so not good, but if jhe makes a few more he's above 33%. Williams was 3-9. If you put the big inside the 3 point line on offense all you do is make it easier for Wemby to cover the rim.

Remember, Tiago is sensitive about big blocks

(Sorry)
The seed for my favorite console wars meme ever, after XBox's horrific television presentation.

Can I coach the Blazers? I can cross my arms and yell and write on a whiteboard; I also know some basic terminology like pick and roll, zone defense, etc. Sure, I'd be absolute dogshit and I'd lean heavily on the assistant coaches, but if he paid me like... $80K/year, the organization would get about what it paid for.

Nah, I think Thiago had Clingan do that in the RS as well. Thiago in this season seemed to me like a coach who definitetly has his philosophy, come hell or whatever. That beinig said, I think Thiago has mostly been good for the Blazers. Let's see what happens.

"In the 1990s, [Dundon] co-founded the subprime lender Drive Financial Services, which offered high-interest loans to people with higher credit risk. The company was acquired by the Spanish company Banco Santander in 2006, transforming Drive Financial Services into Santander Consumer USA. The company has been sued by attorneys general in several states for predatory lending practices. By the time he left in 2015, Dundon served as chairman and chief executive officer of the company."

Just an absolute scumbug 🤣

Portland Trailblazers deserve so much better. Great fanbase and region support and some interesting players to watch. This owner is a vulture.
