Game Thread Playoffs Round 1, Game 1: Spurs vs Blazers (0-0) (Sun 04/19/2026) [8:00 CDT]

So so first playoff game performance aside, it feels so good to be back in the playoffs with a dub. Let’s clean some shit up for the next game though please.

The game went as expected.
Blazers are a high floor, low ceiling team, it's good for us that they don't fold, we need to play the full 48 to be ready for the Nuggets, can't have any more leads thrown away.
Wemby delivering was never in doubt, good to see Fox and Devin also doing well.
Castle's offense was ugly, he can't get frustrated with the refs.
Keldon was great on the boards, but his offense was disgustingly bad.
Our bench made the difference all season long, we need them in the playoffs.
Kornet was the only one up to the task, Harper got comfortable in the second half and we pulled away when he pushed the transition a couple of times.

Avdija having the whistle he has is kind of unexplainable. They just randomly decided to give him SGA treatment.

Well said as always. Really hoping we can use the next 3-4 games to clean this up and close this series out early to get some rest in before the Nuggets

Still, the officiating tonight was worrisome. Only way this goes beyond 5 is if the refs remain this terrible.
It's been so long out of the playoffs. It used to not be like this. The NBA really is called totally different now. Different calls for different players, and those players playing for the fouls. It's super ugly.

good win, even with a lot of sloppy play, they'll likely clean that up by the end of the series and god willing be ready to face the nugs in the second round

8 games....8 wins by 11+

Not one close game this weekend. If this continues, by the end of nexr weekend we could ready to start the entire 2nd round

I know it is very weird but tbh I think Wemby has a higher chance of being deemed as the GOAT over winning 5 rings like TD.

5 rings in this era is very difficult whereas GOAT conversation you can see more and more young generations are saying LeBron is their GOAT.
We got 4-5 players who could potentially be playing together for 15 years and already a championship contender at a very young age. As long as they’re healthy, Wemby especially, the sky is the limit with this team
