NBA Official 2026 NBA Playoffs Thread

Inside the NBA crew already reading Minny’s last rites for Rd. 2 but the team needs to take them much more seriously than they took Portland.

Biggest surprise for me this series how collectively weak and gutless Denver has looked for a championship team. It's like they have accepted their fate their that Minnesota is their daddy.
They don’t really have a leader. Joker and Murray don’t have that kind of personality. Gordon is always hurt.

It was probably Malone before they canned him tbh

Nuggets off season plan should look as follows.

- Fire Bertram from Family Guy and get a real coach.
- Re-sign Peyton Watson as your long term starting SF and third option.
- Trade gimpy Aaron Gordon for PJ Washington or similar rim protecting/defensive stretch 4. Healthy Gordon is good but that’s now 2 consecutive playoff series his health has cost the Nuggets. You cannot rely on him to stay healthy anymore.
- Trade Cam Johnson for a starting SG who can shoot and defend. Someone like prime KCP.
- Trade Braun to get off that contract and make room for Watson. Probably have to attach pick 26 to get rid of that disastrous contract.

Jokic
PJ Washington
Watson
3D SG
Murray

Fill out the bench with the above moves.

When is Ant expected to come back? Regardless they should take this TPups team seriously. Let’s gooooo!!!!

That really doesn't move the needle for them in the west. Treading water like that will eventually make jokic want out.

I also think Denver used a lot of energy late in the season. They looked run down tonight. Jokic especially looked tired this series. Or old maybe. IDK. But Rudy didn't get better overnight.
Gotta be. Amazing to go from winning 13 straight to getting wrecked by a team whose star player was 60% in the first half of the series and missed the second half of it.

It was funny before the series Nuggets fans were floating about how OKC was their only real test and they would breeze through the Wolves and Spurs.

They said the only reason Murray struggled in 2024 was because of Alexander-Walker. Now he got shutdown by McDaniels.

Denver is so stupid for winning that last game against the Spurs. Jokic playing 18 minutes and putting up 20-10. Then Man-Baby Adelman playing Val instead of a scrub like Holmes or Naji to tank the game.

Enjoy cancoon mfers

Tpups move the ball extremely well and always take the best shot.

Thats the reason irrespective of injuries the next man up shows up every game…

Not sure if Jokic will want out. There were sayings that Overseas players have some unwavering loyalty to the team that drafted them. Joker might just stay with the Denver until he retires.

Yeah, and that should factor into the decision of who should be their next coach. If Thibs promises to not run guys down the ground, i would probably hire him to fix that defense (with couple of additions)
