Hoping next year ASG we do something like returning to a captain draft. Something that can maintain balance against current injuries. No Giannis Jokic or Doncic, Wemby was playing with scrubs Advija and Murray compared to USA talent. If these games are now going to be competitive (thank you Wemby), I wanna see balanced teams.

They are definitely going to want to keep the team USA versus team world format because this was successful. So if you go back to captains that wouldn’t really work. Because they can only pick American or international players.

We don't need Nephew winning anything ever again..

He was gassed out and did nothing in the last game.. Edwards deserved it..
I have no problem with Kawhi winning anything lol. His attitude led to Wemby. Got nothing but respect for that money-laundering ex-spur tbh.

Luka and Jokic absolutely shameful, selfish appearances at this entire event. If you can't play, drop out and let someone else take your spot. Just a complete farce for them to come fart around for 4 minutes and then sit the rest of the day.

I look forward to this motivating Wemby for years.

Remember when Wemby said Jokic isn't the best player? Maybe his interactions with him at last year's ASG played into that.

Part of the reason Team World lost the first game and didn't make the Final, tbh.

In a 12-minute game, you can't just forfeit a third of it with two guys out their picking their nose (and Avdija looking like he'd never seen a basketball before).

I'd be pissed if I was the rest of the guys on the squad who actually GAF.

Yeah people said the 1st game was great it was NOT.. You had Wemby trying to drag his mates up the hill as many of them were still in typical AS Game Auto Pilot mode.. Jog up the court and chuck up a shot.. The intensity picked up in the 2nd game once most of the players got on board with some effort..

Victor really did roll on in there like a straight up Baller lol. That is one thing that TD never had. Flash and a sense of style.
Vic wants to be Legend and he is on his way to be Legend.
Get a couple 'chips and it's done deal baby.

I'm loving his game on and off the court.

This is what San Antonio needs.

Kawhi, when healthy, is the best player in the league. This has been true for several years. The Spurs deserved Victor after the way KL betrayed the team.

How is it that Nephew turning 35 this year and still playing like he is still in the peak? :st-lol:

Maybe those load management throughout his career is finally paying off and this allows him to somehow reach/maintain his peak at mid-30s age.

Oh, is this year his contract year again?

I was thinking about it earlier in the season, how long he can play at his peak. I didn't think he was anywhere near close to washed up if he's healthy. I'd say it's his training and the missed games might have helped put less overall wear and tear on his body. Plus his game isn't super reliant on athleticism. Sure, he's athletic, but he doesn't rely on that. Also, I don't know his diet, but I am pretty sure he watches what he puts in his body, so that would also help (really curious to actually know his diet as I'm into nutrition myself).
