Trade Official 2025-2026 Trade Deadline Thread

Sochan with an ominous social media post w song lyrics about things being better off with him gone. Shades of DJM eyeballs emoji?
Tbh Sochan is taking this with a class act. He’s always been a good soldier, changing his FT style, playing PG, C, losing minutes to a rookie CB amidst trade rumors, and without a single complaint and still seems being one of the guys…. I wish Sochan finds his place in the NBA, and play his Swiss Army style defensive potential

If Presti is the same opinion, he can just flip the top4 pick for A LOT of future assets. We really want the Clippers to be good right now.
He would be pretty limited in what he could get as "future assets". Next year the OKC salary crunch starts with Chet and J Dub max kicking in and then the season after that SGA extension starts that pays a mind blowing average salary of 70 million dollars. This is on top of trying to figure out what to do with Ihart, Dort, and Caruso.

I wonder who's going to become the new target for them to cry about? This man isn't even playing and they're still crying about him being on the team lol. Someone has big shoes to fill and unfortunately I feel like Castle is slowly becoming the next victim up smh

I still don't see what kinds of assets the Wolves have for making a Giannis trade happen. They can offer a bunch of their own FRP (out of 2026, 2028, 2029, 2030), but if they get Giannis, those picks probably won't be worth much for the next couple of years. And if they have to gut their roster by including too many players out of the likes of, say, McDaniels, Reid, Randle, Gobert, they will have Giannis and Ant - and not much else. And none of those players would be appealing to a rebuilding Bucks franchise, either.
Maybe there might be a three teamer with the Wolves generating some good draft assets via trading away McDaniels (seems the most likely candidate for this) and then rerouting said assets to the Bucks? I don't know, stills sound rather unlikely to me.
they only need to package 2 players to match Giannis salary. Yes it's kinda dumb because they need a stretch 5 alongside him and they only have 6 capable rotation players right now anyway.

So basically it's Gobert and one of Reid/Randle to match Giannis salary. Bucks would probably want to include Kuzma, so Wolves have to send out McDaniels to a third team to then send picks to Milwaukee. It's most likely someting along those lines.

Reid/Giannis/Kuzma/Ant/DiVincenzo would be their starting line up with a bunch of garbage coming off the bench. Not scary at all.

Rumors are saying DeRozan and McCollum will get bought out. If they can bring in some capable players off the buy out market they might be able to make it work, but the roster is far from ideal.

But if a team gives them four unprotected future firsts for a great pick this year, it would help them to stay flexible and solve some sal cap issues.

Now look at Lebron going to cavs finish his career with Harden.

Cavs were heading in the right direction, they gonna blow it up with two prima dona TOSB

I'm not sure being over the second apron as a second round exit team was a good direction.
Garland had to go, him and Mitchell couldn't play together in the playoffs. Too bad for them Harden isn't the solution.
Allen is also a "the lights were too bright" kind of guy.

This is true but that would be completely insane :st-lol:

Apparently Toronto will get Sabonis for Barrett, but only if they manage to dump Poeltl to Memphis.

Or just really naive.
Mostly this.
Just a bunch of fans that don't understand basketball.
Tbh, if not for this place, I'd avoid Spurs media space alltogether. It's just blind homerism with very little basketball knowledge.
