Trade Official 2025-2026 Trade Deadline Thread

Interesting
2012 OKC makes the finals with a core of 22-23 year olds
Now Durant, Westbrook and Harden on their 5th to 7th teams. Ibaka 5 teams also.

Just when the Clippers started winning games, they trade their catalyst/2nd best player for a 6'1 PG who's always on the IR to ensure their draft pick that belongs to OKC will stay in the lottery… smh. Clippers gonna Clip.

Who's winning the trade deadline? What does "GGs OKC pick" mean?
GGs OKC = good game, congratulating OKC for winning the trade deadline with this deal

Clippers got worse trading their most valuable and consistent regular season player tbh. And we all know Kawhi is gonna get shut down around March as per usual.

Alright, thanks for explaining. I hope the Clippers don't go down the shitter with this trade :(.

Feels like an out of nowhere trade considering theyve been the best team since December or something

Honestly gut wrenching man, if that pick goes top 4 and the hawks make the play offs imma jump the roof

i dont think clippers planned on moving him. seems there was shit bubbling behind the scenes and he basically told them to trade him. and teams (usually) dont bother putting up with having malcontents lay around

Utah suddenly has a lot of interesting players...

Lauri, JJJ, Keyonte George, Ace Bailey, Walker Kessler, Kyle Filipowski, Brice Sensebaugh, Vince Williams, Isaiah Collier.

if Cody Williams becomes anything, that's yet another depth piece. and Mykhailuk now just a deep reserve which he should be, and should be adequate as (he's under contract for 2 more cheap years).

they keep their top 8 protected pick, that's just another asset

Maybe the cavs are thinking we overpaid Garland we can dump him for harden he has a player option if he opts in they still shave 42 million a year early if he opts out they shave 40+ million from the salary cap two years early

I was just thinking this. Bailey/Markannen/JJJ could be a ridiculous frontcourt trio (not only talent-wise, but the fit makes sense too) if Bailey pans out and JJJ looks more like the guy we saw a couple years ago. Keyonte George is looking like a clear starting-caliber guy as well.

Add a potential top 5 pick this year and suddenly that core looks really intriguing. Too bad they’ll probably end up having bad lottery luck and picking 8th or some shit :st-lol:

i still dont know how lineups shake out there... Lauri sliding to SF would erase some of the advantages he creates if they want to start big with Kessler/JJJ (since JJJ is not a particularly good rebounder)

or do they just start smaller with Lauri/JJJ

no clue, but it will be fun. if they keep their pick this year (seems like an increasingly big if)... theyre going to be in very good shape. Collier/Sensebaugh/Filipowski off the bench (in addition to possibly Kessler) is great

One of Lauri's major criticisms has been his perimeter D, which won't get any better guarding down against SFs, but he'll now have two elite rim protectors behind him... it will be an interesting fit. Seems like ball movement to create open 3s will be the easy way to beat them (if you can make them)

Call me crazy... but I'm less afraid of a MIN team that funnels 70% of its USG to Ant and Giannis than I am the current edition of the Wolves (who play directly into our weaknesses). Not saying they won't still be formidable... but I think we'd match up better (depending of course on what MIN gives up, which I'm sure will be a lot).

Wemby also tends to play pretty well against Giannis, as well

Glad we didn’t trade for Garland. What a crazy trade day. Memphis is in rebuild mode officially, even though we knew they already were. Regardless, nothing really changes for the Spurs. They’re still in a great position and they still have to fight every game to maintain it.

Yea true, but MIN will still be scarier with Giannis. Him and Antman would be a formidable duo. Facing that team in the playoffs would be scary fun to watch.

If their lineup ends up something like Dillingham-Ant-Terrence Shannon-Giannis-Joan Beringer... I say bring it on (despite the fact Joan shit in our face recently)

Man, if we can be the team for McDaniels that would be amazing.
