Analysis Lowe/Hollinger: 2025 Most Confusing Teams

I listened to the rest of that episode today. Eesh.

It also wouldn’t be an episode of the Zach Lowe show if we didn’t spend an hour on Miami. It wasn’t him who brought it up this time but I can’t fathom how anyone even remembers they have a team right now.

Zach Lowe had a lot more to say about the Spurs from his new pod yesterday. Starts just after the 41 minute mark and goes for about 25 minutes

We are getting closer. The national media is almost watching this team play. But the way these guys treat actuals as hypotheticals shows they’re a little behind in understanding the fabric of this team at the moment.

Solid analysis, it's just that they forgot Champ exists.
As they said, if Wemby's post games improves enough for him to easily take care of all the wings teams have been putting on him, it will be impossible to defend our team, even with all the spacing issues.
Traditional bigs are too slow for Wemby, if he becomes too strong for wings, it's a permanent mismatch.

The post game exists in a broader context. He needs to be used efficiently in the post, where he doesn’t take too much pounding and doesn’t need to think too hard about getting there.

Which means the guards need to do better at rewarding him for gaining position. Every time he goes in the paint, it should be the guard’s first order of business to see how to get the entry pass in quickly.

I think castle and Harper are going to be groomed for this so I have a little faith. Fox…who knows but at least he’s an elite guard.

Devin’s gonna fuck it all up if he gets the ball as an initiator more than on an accidental basis.
