Player Kornhub

Against teams playing 5 out or small ball lineups Uncle Luke has become quite useless tbh. Shame cause he started off the season as maybe the best backup big in the league. Hopefully Plumlee is serviceable against those types of lineups.
 
No big is useful against those small ball lineups. That's why they run it. The Spurs have more than enough players to be able to counter small ball lineups. Leaving Kornet in would be stupid.

When I saw the Spurs in person I noticed how Luke was waddling like he has a lower back issue. I don't think he's right physically. He's getting more minutes than he can handle in this mid-phase of the season. Hoping some reduced minutes, nights off and treatment can refresh him. Anyway, that's what my highly untrained eye was seeing.
 
Whenever Spurs clinch their seed, definitely think they should rest Luke heading into the playoffs if possible. He's been banged up and looks like he could really use some time to recuperate

Hopefully Plumdog can get spun up soon and actually be serviceable. Kornet needs to take 10-14 days off.

He is a by admission "life-long catholic" according to his blog, which is likely where the value difference is found. (as if that's needed, why the fuck was this an event anyway? I see kids at NBA games all the time.)
 
Without getting too off-topic, Beadle's response does some handwashing in saying "these are grown women making a choice" - ignoring the grim reality that places where it seems like a voluntary decision is being made (strip clubs, OnlyFans, etc) are also rife with human trafficking activity - and unironically Atlanta has been one of the hotbeds of this.

It’s worth mentioning that although Kornhub was well intentioned and certainly considered the grim realities you speak of. There are far more examples of institutions like that providing these women with a way out of poverty.

A way to feed their kids. A way to afford school. A way to support their families.

Hospitality and agriculture are also just as bad. But no one’s gonna speak out about a collaboration with Holiday Inn or HEB farmers.

To me the better narrative would be to maintain and support a woman’s choice while using these institutions to speak out and take action against trafficking.

I have mixed feelings about shutting this down.

At the risk of sending us further off-topic...my first response whenever people give this dignified "Sex work is a choice!" stance is this:

If these people can honestly sit here and say with a straight face that they'd encourage and be 100% fine with their child pursuing sex work as a "career", then I'll accept their point that it's just a normal choice like any other career path. I have a strong feeling that's not the case, and these people would be doing damn near everything in their power to prevent their kid from getting into that line of work...in which case please fuck off and stop making these arguments.

Not saying that these women should be ridiculed or treated as sub-human for their choices, but it's just so insane to act like sex work is just a normal run-of-the-mill job that should be treated like every other profession. There are a number of reasons for this and anyone not being willfully ignorant for the sake of moral grandstanding understands this.
 
Kornet didn’t say that a woman’s choice to be a stripper should be taken away or that it should be outlawed.

He said that it shouldn’t be promoted at a sports event that has a goal of being family friendly.

As @scott said there’s abuse in the industry, and the NBA doesn’t need to be involved in glamorizing it.
