He's perfect backing up Wemby. Teams are getting him out of the paint and he doesn't have the quickness for that. Both Castle and Harper help him a lot. Fox hasn't learned how to play a 2-man game with him yet. When that develops, look out. That said, he does look like he's not at the level he was at the start of the season. Wemby changes the game so much for both teams.

It's not just about the offense, his mobility is obviously limited and he can't really keep up with fast lineups.
We don't really need him to score 15, but his rebounding was disappointing in these two games.

3 underwhelming games in a row now. I wasn't expecting nightly double doubles but I was expecting more than this.

He avg's were like 8/5.5/2/1 in 24 minutes coming in, he gave us 8/6/3/2 on 3/3 shooting in 28 minutes, he lead the team in +/=. I'm not blown away by that, but I'm not underwhelmed.
The guy is a backup center, he's a good one, but a ton of his O-utility is Castle feeding him lobs.
He had a solid game, not an underwhelming one unless you have expectations that aren't in line with reality.

Would be nice if Fox/Kornet had a bit more chemistry, but yeah, not surprising that his production has fallen off with Wemby/Castle/Harper all missing time.

We brought him in to be one of the best backup bigs in the league and a serviceable stopgap if Wemby misses time. I think he's delivering in those areas just as expected.

There's a reason he's 29 and barely became a household name in the last two years. He is a very good backup C and compliments Vic nicely. But he is a backup and is playing out of his element as a starter. Despite that he is infinitely better of an option than Bismack or someone like Zach Collins

Our defense doesn’t totally suck with Wemby out. That’s what he brings. We’re still like top 10, and the previous two seasons, we were dead last without Wemby on the floor. We’re not paying him to be a star, we’re paying him to anchor defensive lineups without Wemby, and he’s making less than MLE to be very successful in that role.

He is not a star, and will never be one.

He is absolutely and completely necessary for this team to succeed.

I want a big game from Big Luke tonight against Cling Kong, who is 6 of 15 from 3 over his last four games.

You were the first to call out the Gortat screen in the game thread for me... was paying close attention after that and loved every time I saw it. Was good stuff!

I've noticed Fox finding Korndog on an increasing number of lobs as well.

Good stuff. I find it a bit shocking that Marvin Bagley III has played more than 200 minutes this season already, though.
