Spurs got Fox super cheap; it was an obvious trade to make for their 2027 first, the Chicago protected first, the 20131 Minnesota first, a couple of seconds, and a salary they desperately wanted to dump in Collins (as well as a now redundant Tre Jones). Not bad to get a top 35 player at age 27 for half of what the Knicks paid for Bridges because Fox and Klutch forced their way to San Antonio. Maybe you get your wish with how much Castle and Harper are struggling though. You get Giannis and you lose both of them eventually anyways since you're paying 95% of the cap to Giannis, Wemby, and Fox, so the Spurs can make a Giannis offer no one else can come close to. I personally see enormous downside to paying an aging and injury prone star 35% of the cap even if he's having a monster season right now and anticipate that he ages more like DRob or Shaq than Duncan. And especially bad if he still wants to be paid like Kobe.
