Player De'Aaron Fox Expected To Miss The Start Of The Regular Season

Yeah, he will be our #2 option and play the role of Robin to Wemby's Batmanyama.

Fox has already acknowledged that this is Wembys team. Castle & Harper are our future, but Fox is the present. Both have much to learn from Fox.
It’s hard to imagine anybody playing with Wemby and thinking it’s their team lol.

But yes, I agree.

I think it's ok he waits a bit. The delay at least makes me wonder if Brian Wright is is trying to get his eyes on how Castle and Harper (and the team)look in Fox's absence.

I don't think he's making any trades at all. But I'm ok if other teams see all these point guards and consider trying to trade with us, I guess.
Maybe we slip in a Sochan on 'em.

Castle’s adrenaline ran out last night. It’s a lot to ask of him right now. Fox coming back allows the other guards to breath and reflect during a game rather than having to push and push.

I think that’s the biggest risk for this team. The lights get too bright and they lose poise. Fox is going to fit perfectly.

I noticed on basketball reference that Fox is listed as "day to day" with his hamstring injury. Is that an updated designation or has it been listed as that the whole time? I remember the beginning of Nov as his return was reported initially but perhaps trying to get him some limited minutes in this 3 game home stand would make even more sense. Let him shake off some rust etc in a friendly arena. 10 of the next 13 games at home, would love to build up some wins and getting Fox in the fold sooner than later would be big (assuming he is ready which by all accounts he is).

I had a feeling beforehand that they would bring him back at home. It makes sense. It let's him come back in a friendly atmosphere. Nothing better than the first home game of the season.

NBA site has hourly injury report updates, will be interesting to follow tomorrow.

If Fox is indeed listed as day to day, he should at least be doubtful for tomorrow and not out right away.

If we can convince one of those three to be our Manu, there is no reason to trade one of them. That is, if Harper becomes what everyone expects.

If none of them takes pride in coming of the bench or our cap situation forces us to, we still will have to wait for the trade to keep Fox and Klutch happy. Thus it also would have to be a soft landing spot and we don't know, what that is in '28. At this point it could very well be a rebuilding Clippers or Warriors or a restructured Heat team. It doesn't matter now, as we don't know if he will be traded, where he'd like to go and what that team could offer.

For now Fox is a Spur and we should be happy about it as we now have the tallest and fastest NBA player and both of them are really talented.

Would the Spurs do the Fox trade again, if they knew, they'd be able (nearly forced) to draft Harper? I think, they probably would, as the price was that good (it depends, what will happen to the Minny pick). Don't pretend, that Fox isn't a great player and could very well be our second option on a championship team.

Markkanen might be the better fit now, but I'm pretty sure Ainge wanted a lot more stuff.

After all it's less about assets itself but more of how we can make the salaries work. Maybe a change like cap relief for drafted players might help by then. I'd hope so, even though it would help OKC and probably Houston as well.

Kornet out is terrible defensively. Now when Wemby sits we don't have paint protection. Bad going into a back to back
