This kid Ryan Rollins is nice tbh
Spurs were one of the teams linked to him last summer - shame he resigned with Milwaukee, but it's good to know that the FO was at least looking at him. Bodes well for their ability to try and find diamonds in the rough moving forward

Wouldnt get any shine here tbh, but agree

Cavs at Bucks tomorrow, they will probably drop that one

There’s been zero news on Giannis at all though. Bucks never gave a timetable for his return though he himself assumed 4-6 weeks immediately after the injury before even got tested

I didn't get why the Spurs were looking at him, but after seeing him play this season, now I do. I didn't think there's any room for him, but he plays defense and can shoot the 3. Would have been a great signing. I wonder how hard they went after him.

Probably offered him a minimum, which he smartly didn't take because as you say, there wasn't room for him and he would have just gotten DJG's role. He definitely did the right thing for himself, glad to see he's lighting it up now.

Hawks trading fragile KP for Buddy Hield and Kuminga is an underrated move.

McCollum
NAW
Jalen Johnson
Kuminga
Landale
Any of these are easily capable of scoring 20+ in a given game.

Dyson Daniels and Rischer are long wings that can lock down scorers. Buddy Hield led the league in 3P% a few years ago.

They have many weapons now tbh. They are a real threat to make a push into the playoffs.

Also, they have Pelican's unprotected FRP that could be top 3. With that superstar rookie, Hawks could be top 4 seed in the East next year.

I think the 2027 unprotected pick will definitely not be a lottery pick and MATFO can consider trading the pick away

I'm kinda hoping that's the case - I'm tired of following the Hawks' record tbh. Feel some pity for them also with Risacher looking like a True Bust and their flip-flopping team record.

Mentally preparing to pick in the 12-16 range this season, and I hope we can do a deal like the Minny one with this '27 pick, and push it back a couple of years. There just aren't many holes on the team right now that can use a rookie to fill them, as opposed to trading for a vet if the playoffs show a specific need.

They've done a good job of rescuing themselves- of course the biggie was hitting on Jalen Johnson

The odds are next years pick from them will not be in the lottery- but Atlanta has some interesting questions
Rischer is looking more and more like a bust. Dyson has skills, but is shooting less than .200 from 3 and and under .600 from the FT and salary goes to 25 next year.
Kuminga has a player option and McCollum is a FA next year.
Even with the pick they may not be dramatically better than this year (of course still out of the lottery)

Hawks are 14th in the lottery so far with 2.4% odds to a top 4 pick
A few spot higher would be huge

Portland has the easiest remaining schedule of the league. Charlotte is hot.
Clippers and buck are still trying.

Best scenario is 10th in the lottery with 14% odds to top 4 pick.

Please hawks!

Hawks have an easier schedule the rest of the way though. 4th easiest in the league. It's hard to see them losing enough games to finish in the 10th or 11th spot imo. Gonna need a lot of help from the Hornets, Bucks, and Clippers.

If we end up with the 2nd best record (and pick #29, naturally) then we should decline the swap. #29 is a recipe for greatness in San Antonio.

(I'm only 95% kidding)

No Harden or Mitchell for Cavs today, so this one remains winnable. currently 42-42 in the 2nd quarter

This version of the bucks won’t catch ATL but they just have to hang on long enough to give Giannis a reason to come back
