Spurs have legit chance at a Top 10 pick next draft, tbh. Don't think anyone expected that at the start of the season (not trading this pick but I'm open to moving ATL's '27 pick in the right deal).

And huge game coming up next, Hawks @ Heat.

Hawks will be better next season. They'll probably fire Snyder, add a Top 4, and upgrade their big situation. The 2027 draft is a weak class by many accounts; so if I am Brian Wright, i might just try to package that pick in the offseason and maybe even this deadline if there is something out there to improve the roster..

shoutout to the Hawks for tanking. Trading one of their best shooters for another undersized 3rd string C.

Edit: btw Krejci is still under contract for 2 more seasons on 2.6 and 3 million. 42% 3-point shooter. Could've used that guy on the Spurs.

He was definitely one of the guys I wanted to target. I don't understand Atlanta here at all...

Sound logic...but then you realize it's the Hawks.

The 2027 and 2028 drafts are supposed to be pretty bad. Not a bad idea to trade the pick now. It’s value is probably only going down from here

Yeah this projects to be the best of Atlanta's 3 FRP from the Dejounte trade..And now the Hornets are breathing down the Hawks' neck after their 7th straight win (only 1 game behind).

The 10th place in lottery (currently Charlotte) has 14% chance at Top 4 pick in the draft. You can't trade that after what happened the last few years.

Looking like the Hawks pick projection has narrowed to a best case of 10th anywhere up to 14-16th if they make the playoffs via play in.

I’d be very happy with 10th goes without saying.

Even if they make the playin, they’ll shit the bed just like they did last year, a classic choke job by a #8 seed, losing the 7/8 game, and then losing to the #10 seed to get dumped into the lottery. We got a late lottery pick, and Miami’s pick conveyed to OKC at #15 instead of being unprotected this year.

A pretty bad idea to take draft observers' abilities to project this far out. It's entirely too soon to know what players will emerge. Keep the pick.

I've been reading this is a 10-player draft. If so, ATL being a top 10 pick becomes all the more important.

4.8% at a top10 is not really super legit. 13th pick instead of 28th is still a pretty big jump though

4.8% shot at top *4*. It's fluid and a lot can change, but we've been on a heater in recent lotteries.

Top 10-12 prospects all look good, and hopefully guard talent pushes a nice big our way.

Milwaukee will tank, Charlotte looks pretty hot right now, Portland, Memphis and Dallas won't pass Atlanta. The Clippers might but Chicago might do the opposite. I think that 12-14th pick is realistic

Pathetic showing by Heat, but that's what you get when half roster is in trade talks
