There is still some in the East that think Atlanta can make a solid run for the play-in with a little tinkering. A lot of chatter about trying to get Zubac from LAC. I don't really see it but it at least works a bit better for their timeline.
They absolutely can and Zubac would be great there next to Johnson. I also think Kispert will help with their shooting, though, it does make me wonder if they have a Dyson v Risacher choice coming soon.

Good thing Jalen Johnson panned out, otherwise Hawks would practically have no talent on their roster.

I don't understand why the Hawks are trying to get Davis over Giannis'. It's perhaps that Bucks are pressuring for more picks. But if the Hawks have a clearer chance of contention it will be via Giannis than StreetClothes.

I'm not even sure, if the Hawks have enough assets to make a run at Giannis (unless they are willing to trade Jalen Johnson, which they shouldn't). Davis on the other hand, can be had for "cheap".

I think they can make a trade with Porzingis, Risacher plus the swaps that the Bucks owe them but the Bucks will ask for the Pelicans pick and it will come down to that.

Layer of FO malpractice upon layers of FO malpractice from the Mavs. Absolutely insane he was allowed to play with trade talks ongoing (see Warriors w Kuminga). Where would this franchise be if they didn't luck out with Flagg? even with him the outlook is murky at best unless the lottery gods smile upon them again this year..

I still remember that first half of that first game in Dallas last year where it was looking very promising. Such a terrible injury riddled time since then.

The only extension AD is getting is hyperextension, tbh.

Porzingis is a Hawk for the foreseeable future.

That's not necessarily bad news for us though. All it takes is a flare-up of his condition and he's out indefinitely, the team can't build or play around that.

It's turning into a very interesting season to bird-watch lol, what will Atlanta come up with next after shipping out their star for peanuts...?

Sit Anthony Davis and he'd sustain a pelvic contusion, a buttocks hematoma, or a frostbite by holding a cold beverage. The guy is cursed.

Assuming no major injury, It is really looking like Spurs pick swap is going to be something like (26th-29th) pick for (13th-16th) pick with the worst-case scenario being a 10-place jump in the draft.

Hard to argue this isn't a big win for us considering pre-season projections.
