Rhis kid is gonna be good imo. Only 16 years old. Could be a lottery pick in a couple years.

I'd be surprised if they move off of Devin before his deal is up in 2029 tbh. It's a bargain contract if he continues playing the way he is right now. I think they'd try and move Fox before they move Devin (assuming they can find a suitor) and just let Harper take the reins as PG1. I guess it depends on how Fox performs in the Playoffs the next couple years too though. Time will tell. That asst/TO is better than Darren Peterson (1.0). We will have to move off Vassell, probably in the next two years, no matter how well he plays. Might as well be training up his replacement.
True. Carr would be a pretty safe pick imo.the hit rate on freakish wingspan guys is pretty high
Confirmation bias. Here’s the other side of the story:
the tweet said "wing propsects who could shoot and had good wingspan" which would eliminate a few of these namesConfirmation bias. Here’s the other side of the story:
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist #2 (2012) 6'6" ~7'0" SF Elite defender but no offensive development; injuries limited career impact.
Jan Veselý #6 (2011) 6'11" ~7'4" PF Athletic but lacked shooting and skill for NBA half-court offense.
Dragan Bender #4 (2016) 7'0" ~7'1.5" PF Drafted as a stretch big; never developed strength or scoring ability.
Marvin Williams #2 (2005) 6'9" ~7'2" SF/PF Long career but never close to star expectations of a #2 pick.
Wesley Johnson #4 (2010) 6'7" ~7'1.5" SF Athletic defender but limited offensive impact for a top-5 pick.
Stanley Johnson #8 (2015) 6'6" ~7'0.25" SF Drafted as a two-way wing; struggled with shooting and consistency.
Cam Reddish #10 (2019) 6'8" ~7'1" SF Tools and length but inconsistent production and role stability.
Derrick Williams #2 (2011) 6'8" ~7'1" PF/SF Explosive athlete but tweener position and limited skills stalled development.
All things being equal, yeah, I’ll go for the “long” player, but that should be the cherry on top, not the desired trait.
Most of those guys couldn't shoot in college to begin with tbh. Or they were low-volume shooters. Maybe one or two could, but the others couldn't. Carr is an elite 3PT shooter at 40% 3PT% 2 years in a row now on nearly 6 attempts per this season.Confirmation bias. Here’s the other side of the story:

I think this is an excellent list, but one of the big confounding factors on this list is prospect weight. Aside from Ingram, who measured 6'8" without shoes, all of these guys measured in at >200 lbs at the combine. This is especially relevant in the current era of officiating, where officials have never been more lenient in allowing excessive off-ball contact while whistling on-ball contact much more egregiously (OKC's entire team both offense and defense basically weaponize this concept). A slighter frame causes a movement shooter to get bumped off his spots more frequently and have to shoot off balance more frequently. If you look at Spurs shooters, Vassell is listed at 200 (and I thought there was a period a couple years ago where he bulked up to 210-220?) while Champ is at 220. Even in the case of Ingram, you can see what Lu Dirt was able to do to him a couple years ago in the playoffs. This is also why I've said in the past that combine measurements will mean a lot to me when it comes to how I see Cam Carr. If he's truly at 175 listed at ESPN, I'm out on him completely. But if he's 190+ like Baylor lists, I'm much more in. You can say that weight is one of the easiest things to develop, but Carr will also be 21.6 on draft night, so putting on significantly more weight for him may be much harder.
Bro, I’m old and I find it easy to gain weight. I gain 10 lbs overnight.I think this is an excellent list, but one of the big confounding factors on this list is prospect weight. Watching the Houston game? Another underwhelming performance by Cenac. As one of the two guys bound to be drafted this year, his coach is playing him half the minutes as 3-4 other guys. Is it just because he’s unplayable in a lot of situations due to his poor speed? You’re going to the NBA - you should be a top guy on your team. Two air-balled 3's in this game tbh. Made the other one though.
That was weird. Literally just posted about it and then your comment popped up right after, I guess cause I started typing it before your post. But yea, he's in a rough patch right now. He prob won't, but I think he'd be better off returning to school tbh, especially with next year's class looking much weaker.Watching the Houston game? Another underwhelming performance by Cenac. Ament’s not playing, I forgot he got injured as well. Watch the JJ vs Diop game insteadNate Ament and the Vols about to tip-off against Vanderbilt on ESPN.
Spurs have had some issues with teams spreading them out and going 5 out. He's actually a very good antidote against this approach. OKC puts Chet or Jaylin Williams as the lone big and Steinbach at the 5 is basically cleaning up on the offensive glass while being able to run with with them.If I'm going for a big, he's at the top of my list right now. It might be a year early or so, but having him ranked in with Kornet would be really good for development. The team getting Plumlee indicates that they see a need for bigs. If the team's weakness right now are physical, banging teams, then having a big, mobile guy who inhales rebounds is a good option.
Only if its a different school...Another stinker from Cenac today. 6 pts on 3/8 shooting (0/1 from 3) and 4 rebounds in a win over OK State. Only played 19 minutes. He's regressing and getting less PT b/c of it. They said on the broadcast that he's only made 2 of his last 18 3-point attempts. Not good. Mostly a confidence issue right now imo. Happens often to young players. Needs to see some go in to get it back. Either way, he's in the midst of his worst stretch of the season right now. Honestly think he'd be better off returning to school. He's better than what he's showing right now imo. Also, despite being a good rebounder, he def needs to get stronger so he doesn't get pushed off balance by older players.
