The more I think about our 20th pick, the more I realize that it may be a good idea not to get anyone who thinks their upside is really high - to lower the risk of letting go other players just to accommodate their financial desires.
Whichever forward we get has to beat out Keldon, Vassell, Champ (assuming CB continues trending up, he’s locked in for a position and not included here) in the rotation, right? So I think they have to be just good enough to beat those guys but not be too good that they believe they deserve a $20 million a year contract. IMO, few fit this bill. If I were to guess, the guys who would come in and just be happy they’re winning are: Haugh, Graves, JJ, Ejiofor.
