For what it’s worth, Koa Peat is Corliss Williamson. For better, for worse. Love him. But he’s a beast in the lane, with no perimeter shot, who does well off the bounce and on middy elbow jumpers, with enough thunderous athleticism to rattle a rim but not be a high flyer, who is a bit too upright on D to defend most SFs. So, realistically, he’s locked into a Draymond hybrid minus the elite D and minus the perimeter shot of any semblance.
He’s a great prospect 25 years ago. He can impact today’s game uniquely, but I hold concerns over his NBA upside.
Also, his parents are major athletes, Todd Peat, former NFL Lineman, and Jana Peat who lettered in 3 varsity sports and played collegiately.
Koa is the youngest child, all of them athletes at least Div 1 collegiately, with two in the NFL.
All are named after a type of Wood/Tree.
