Player The unfortunately low-ceilinged Shaolin monastery of Victor Wembanyama

Wasn't falling enough today. At one point he tried 3 in a row in vain. After a miss or two he should have just drove or made a move closer to the basket and tried to score there. He's not just tall; he has incredible touch up close as well. Still frustrating to watch him revert to last year's habits when he's tired.
Still a better shot than a stepback fadeaway 3. Sure it wasnt falling last night but i think vic has a high percentage rate on midrange overall.

This YouTube channel is pretty funny, and he is as impressed with Wemby as he is disgusted by the Heat defense.

The constant screaming gets old fast. And the analysis is very superficial. Basically, if you get scored on, you suck, no matter what.

I've seen this guy contradict himself several times depending on the outcome of a play. For example: he says drop coverage sucks; the next play Wemby blocks a shot by playing drop coverage and he's the next GOAT.

By the third time watching a video of his, I grew tired of it.

100% agree. I thought it was kind of cool the first time I watched a video of his, but after 3 or 4, I didn't like it much anymore. He doesn't need to swear all the time and say the player sucks if they make a mistake, and he can point out mistakes or good plays by not trashing the player/s. Anyway, not my channel to tell him how to run it. He can do whatever he wants.

His schtick does get old quick, and is mostly just entertainment value. I will say I enjoy the videos involving Nuggets or Lakers because he just blasts them for all of their "Nepo-hires" lol.

Problem is the guy says everything is a mistake. Sometimes they are not, a team can play perfect defence and still gets scored on, but he just yells and screams constantly about it as if it’s obvious. There are many times the defence had perfect contests and the shot just goes in, you cant block every shot but apparently that’s what he thinks.

Awful Coaching is the GOAT, there's no convincing me otherwise.

Wemby 3.0 is really blowing my mind. It's like he went from a a boy to a man in year 21. He's matured exponentially.

The Shaolin experience was great mind/body/soul training.

The work with Dream is clear to see as he plays closer to the basket and is putting on a clinic with his footwork and lowering his base to receive the ball.

The thing I haven't heard said much is the work with Garnet. Maybe it was just one session, not sure. KG seems to have helped him unlock his voice and his emotions in a powerful way. His vocal outcries vs the Heat were very reminiscent of KG. Wemby is exemplifying the top trait of a great leader: make sure everyone knows how much you care. This component makes him even more dangerous and legendary.

It's only 5 games and we have a lot of work to integrate the roster and clean up some things on O and D, but, what I'm seeing now is closer to what I imagined peak Wemby to maybe become. His ceiling is unimaginable based on players we've seen thus far. Totally beyond video game level ridiculous stuff we are seeing now.

We suffered for years on SpursTalk waiting, hoping to be delivered to a semblance of our past glory. It's here now and I label it The Shaolin Redemption
Anybody have Morgan Freeman's phone number?

There’s a reasonable chance that Wemby considers himself an important figure in human history. No joke. He’s brilliant and able to seemingly do anything. He’s one of the tallest humans in existence and possibly the most talented person of this stature in recorded history - maybe human history. And he’s taking this thing that we’ve spent decades obsessing over who’s better than who and he might swoop in at age 23 and go “big deal” and then end all discussions about what’s even possible on a basketball court.

I’m not screwing around here either. This is actually very strange and historic stuff. It could go the other direction, obviously. But I don’t think Vic is content with just being LeBron. I think he wants to break the game so nobody will ever touch him.

And honestly I believe the only thing that will ever hold him back from the being the greatest...at least basketball wise...will be his body. At that height, we know that the body is a bit more delicate.
