Player The unfortunately low-ceilinged Shaolin monastery of Victor Wembanyama

Timmy was just as much of a gym rat and hard worker Kirby was. Don't fall for the narrative bs.

The difference is solely in PR. Kobe made sure everybody knew how hard he worked tbh

:st-lol:
Agreed I will never forget this one moment Kobe had when he lost to the Heatles during their first year together on the road in Miami. After the game Kobe deliberately decided to not leave the court and continued to shoot jumpshots until somebody from the Heat security team told him that he had to leave but he made sure the camera crew would see it. I felt Kobe was always a try hard trying to get attention by having these PR type of moments.

For a guy who had a good work ethic Kobe was always an inefficient player. He would shoot thousands of jumpshots a day but still manage to shoot terrible percentages when it came to efficiency. I remember the legendary trainer Tim Grover said the biggest difference between MJ and Kobe was MJ would rest when he would tell him to rest and not work out while Kobe wouldn't listen to him. This in return according to Grover would offset whatever gains Kobe would make during training.

They used to say that if Iverson were six inches taller he'd be Michael Jordan. The truth is if he were six inches taller he'd be Kobe Bryant, an inefficient chucker who the media loves.

This is true. Kobe was always out there talking about how his teammates wanted to party and all he wanted to do was train yada yada yada. Egomaniac.

It sucks that Kobe died but also annoying how the narrative around him changed a lot that made him look favorable.

"Jeremy Lin hated him"
"Buhh buh Kobe was just being a competitor."

I still remember him tweeting during the Spurs Lakers series after his achilles injury and making it about himself instead of just being a teammate supporting them from the bench.

He cherry on top is him winning an Oscar for doing nothing as a producer on a movie short based on a poem he didn’t write to self promote because a bunch of LA Hollywood fanbois had to give Kobe everything whenever they could.

At least Steve Kerr admitted he didn’t do anything as a producer.

I fall asleep most nights thinking of the Spurs so I don’t have to think about more serious matters…I’ve tired and I can report that it is likely your major decisions and problems can’t and won’t be solved tossing and turning after midnight, anyway it still feels unbelievable that Wemby is on our team and that we’re back. Feels good….enjoy it everyone!

I agree, as a Spurs fan from the beginning, it's amazing that we're blessed with a generational talent who will take us to championship heights that we have rarely experienced. I lived through the great regular season greatness of Gervin and Silas to appreciate the playoff warriors we now have on the Spurs. Enjoy it Spurs fans, this may not pass your way again.

What's the story here? I never watched it but remember Kobe winning an Oscar. I thought he had a huge hand in it? So he didn't really do anything? Was Steve Kerr also part of the project as a producer too?

I always appreciate these type of teams. I don't take it for granted. It's why I'm also hard on them after losses because I know these opportunities are so hard to come by. Just like the TD era, I believe in this team too and I want them to maximize all the chances they have. You just can't throw anything away thinking you'll get another chance.

I don't care about the experience thing where people say they can't do it or they have to have go through it before they can win. Yeah, that might be true, but if you can do it now, then try your hardest to do it now. I think this team has that same mindset anyway, which is great to see that they're not looking to pass up any opportunity.

Look at teams like Denver, Milwaukee, and now Boston. I think all their fan bases thought they'd have lots of opportunities to get back to the finals and win more. It's not looking so good for those teams anymore.
