Player The unfortunately low-ceilinged Shaolin monastery of Victor Wembanyama

Yeah, but it’s the Spurs. We know how cautious they are.
That’s not something that can be re-aggravated with normal physical activity.

I think it’ll be pretty straightforward. If he’s cleared he’s good to go as normal. There’s no process on this where it’s pain management or not fully healed etc.

I'm going to assume the protocol is probably closer to the bare minimum given all the money involved. The Spurs will have a lot of factors to balance when they make their decision. But yeah, if he passes the protocol and he's jonesing to play, he's going to play.

As for Hasselhoff: he's practically German (!) so that must carry a lot of weight back in the fatherland. His pioneering work with Knight Rider and Baywatch was obviously inspirational to freedom and an embrace of the American way. 😂

Let’s hope so

Ir's looking like G3 is 50/50 (possibly a game-time decision) but Game 4 is a go for Wemby. Must be said Spurs are lucky the concussion occurred right before they were to have two days of rest allowing them to do the requisite tests all before the tip off of the next game..Just imagine if this happened in Game 6-7 situation with only a day off in between.

So much of the playoffs outcomes have become about injury luck--it's truly become a war of attrition. See the Pacers last 2 postseasons; they lucked out with opponents' injuries until they didn't at the most crucial moment.

Im still thinking he’s a no go for G3, that’s a real quick turnaround for a concussion. Good to see him travel though as that almost guarantees a G4 appearance unless things go south while traveling.

Wonder how much of this is Vic also downplaying his symptoms, he’ll be damned if he lets the team bust out in R1 after the season we’ve had

vic is a smart kid who has talked about dealing and feeling pain since childhood and with the monks tbh. Lets trust him

No telling how many more steps Wemby needs to clear in the NBA’s protocol. If he clears them, he’ll play. If he doesn’t he has more steps to get through. Spurs will not be sitting him out from caution or fear. I’m not sure if the NBA makes concussion protocol clearance public and if there’s some leniency with the injury report in these cases. We’ll know soon.

Especially a PHD who has made a career talking about how bad CTE is. Has very little to do with what Vic’s got going on and the risks going forward …
Yes, and no doctor worth his salt is going to give you a diagnosis without examining the patient. It’s not worth listening to.

I don’t at all think he has a serious concussion. It was a bad fall and probably a mild concussion.

People get clocked all the time and don’t get a concussion.

Most concussions are right spot right time. I still think he’ll miss Friday but wouldn’t be surprised if he’s back
